I don't think Peridot's redeemable. The best way I can describe her is that she is proof the gems are rocks personified. She's cold, emotionless, and probably can't even spell "compassion".

I wouldn't call her completely cold and emotionless. She has been losing her emotionless exterior and sanity the more she's been on earth. In fact Steven may be affecting her personality as seen in "Friend Ship* so whether she can be redeemed or not is still debatable. Yeah she's tried to kill them on several occasions, but I think it's because they keep destroying her things and slowing down her work, from her perspective you'd see Steven and the Crystal Gems as pests who keep interfering with your work.Β Β

Her work involves the destruction of Earth. Also your point contradicts it's self. Yes, Steven and the Gems are pests to her that interfere with her work. So even if they did forgive her, why would she choose to associate with them if she hates them?

I didn't say her work was good, but c'mon you think any of the home world gems see any value in human life? Even Pearl, despite having lived on Earth for over 1000 years still has a bit of a pessimistic view on humanity, but still chooses to protect it. As for Peridot who knows. Sometimes the best of friends can start off being the worst of enemies. I don't know what direction this show is going for, but there's a number of possibilities. Β

exactly, just like lapis. maybe peridot will grow to steven like lapis did and befriend him. Lapis is technically not a bad gem, she just wanted to go home. And with Peridot, she is literally force to work for yellow diamond and even fears her.Β

I'm gonna be honest, I fell in love with her after Log Date 7152, and I had only grown more fond her since. So yeah. I like how she turned out. If I had gone back in time and told myself I would like Peridot, I wouldn't believe me.Β Β Β

To be honest, I don't know how I feel about the jacket, but I love the addition of the sticker. I hope in the coming episodes they do something with it and Peridot.

The new comic focuses on both Lapis and Peridot's experience at the homeworld and their back story
which havent been revealed that much in the show so it will be heavily based on some of the fan theories on youtube
