Description Somewhat of a rant here.

On a few forums that I visit, some people made threads about muscle women and quite a few people (all male) made nasty comments about them and people who like them. Now, I always figure that these males (I can't really call them men, they don't fit the description that is in my book) have a real inferiority complex and feel that women like these threaten their manliness (what little they have). This drawing came out of that sentiment.

Nothing sexual is intended with this drawing, I just thought that a body press against a wall worked better than having her grabbing him in any fashion.

Simple answer, "Yup!"
Not my style of gal, but she's drawn very well. The anatomy, while exaggerated, is essentially accurate, and this is the great strength (Yeah, pun) of the pic.

I can see where those trolls are coming from.

It's not necessarily that they have an inferiority complex. Some of them probably did, but that's beside the point. It's just that most people who draw muscular women can't do it without making them look freakish or manly. They exaggerate the muscles too much and it just looks wierd.

You do it right.

I guess the only answer to that question is "is there a problem with that?"
All people indimidate me in some respects, no matter what they look like, what they sound like, or what they're doing. However, if a woman can defend herself, I find that to be something worthy of respect, and feeling respectful of someone may not be as good as feeling comfortable with them, (I seriously wouldn't know,) but at least it's better than being just plain afraid and nothing else.
Plus, when you're afraid as often as I am, it becomes easier to be around people who are able to defend themselves, even if you yourself are no slouch. If there's a sense of security involved in a friendship/relationship, it can make it easier to cope with the fear of anything human or human-like.
That's all I can say, given my current level of emotional development.

Awesome. I totally agree with your stand point. why is it that guys feel to utterly threatened when there is a woman that is stronger then them? Partially, I believe, because strong women have a really bad reputation. If you look on the internet, you'll see lots of strong women "dominating" and "destroying" men. That's just a stereo type. I really love the draw, and thanks for bringing the issue to peoples attention. (P.S. More draws like this wouldn't go amiss in my opinion )

I personally don't find muscular women attractive, yet I don't have an ineriority complex either. I simply find curvatious more womanly than muscular. I think it mostly has to do with the fact that I personally perceive muscles as a manly trait and becuase of this buff women seem to manly for me.

It'd be nice if people wouldn't just call out each other on person attractions/attractivness.

This is not about whether or not you like them, its about whether or not you say nasty stuff about them and the people that like them.

*WHITE FLAG OF "PARLAY"*

I can certainly see what the point is... and nod my head in agreement as to why you'd draw this.

YET... The person I am, I don't whose side I'm really with in the perspective of this "argument," does have a differing point of view on this.

I once said to someone, "I fear no woman; I barely fear a man." Given that position, I actually carry a hate-love relationship toward women in general: especially toward women that are SUPPOSEDLY empowered, both physically and mentally. As such, I don't care how big a woman's muscles - or whatever else - is. But, I do resent competition from a woman, especially in the category of symbolic power.

As such, my answer to the question - complete with situation depicted - would be a defiant, yet civilized, "No." I would then take my beating, however severe, LIKE A MAN.

Again, I don't know if I'm with or against you, or vice-versa with your opponents. But, I have said my piece.

Though, would you go on internet forums and make nasty remarks about them and people who like them, or do you keep it to yourself?

I guess what I am getting at is that I have no problem with people not liking muscle women, only with the ones that can't keep it to themselves.

Hear hear.

What I figured is that someone who isn't confident enough in their manliness to be intimidated by a tough woman, doesn't have any manliness to be proud of.

I don't think that they are without any, they just don't have enough to trip the meter (thought, its all physical).

Guess some males can't handle a strong woman. It's one thing to dislike something and keep it to yourself, but voicing such opinions in such a way just makes you look like an ass.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ArchangelDreadnought In reply to Ifrit-7 [2008-02-01 03:28:34 +0000 UTC]

I think that looking like an ass is the least of their problems. Course, I don't advocate trying to force them into liking them, I just think that someone needs to teach them to keep their big mouths shut.

Well, you'd never get into that situation with her if you think like that.

DtheStampede In reply to ArchangelDreadnought [2008-02-05 03:59:50 +0000 UTC]

Not sure I would want to get into that situation. On the good side, her boobs are pressed up against you. On the bad side, she's lifted you up off the floor and is holding you up against the wall, which is trying to be intimidating if you're honest. I have no problem with women having muscles, they can still be beautiful.
