I don't know if I'd compare Stanhope to Hicks. They have ideological similarities, but I think Hicks was a little more artistic about it. Whereas Stanhope gets on stage, cracks a beer and lights a cigarette and tells you the truth exactly as it is.

At the same time, brutal Honesty thats straight forward will crack open more skulls then weaving it in. I still like Hicks more then stanhope, but I lvoed his bit on his last cd about artist dying "Before there time"

Stanhope is more of a Carlin-esque guy, with more cusses.
