A herald of Slaanesh, Dark Prince and Lord of Pleasure.Heralds are daemons of Slaanesh who have gained their Master's favor, and thus are elevated above other minions still scrambling to gain His attention.

Can't say I didn't see it coming, though. Perhaps they could have avoided it if they hadn't gone public, and if they had given the actual creators of the games and the sculptors more say. Who knows?

Love Slaanesh. Love Daemonettes (well the previous metal ones at least). Haven't built an army of them yet though and I only have a starting force of Thousand Sons Chaos Space Marines as a 40K army from the warp. I had been working on a Slaaneshi Beastman Army with elements of mortals and daemons combined but the new rules for Fantasy have screwed all that up with the separation of Daemons, Mortals and Beasts to separate armies.

I started with the EC, in the earlier edition having a big chunk of Terminators, and having the rest of the army as just Daemonettes, on foot and on their steeds. That list was a joy to play with. With the new edition, I have expanded on my EC, and have expanded on the Slaanesh Daemons, and agreed, the metal ones are much nicer

I plan to cast the metals so I can make resin copies. I will likely use the new ones for conversions of Dark Elves and Dark Eldar. Oh and yes I play Dark Elves as my main Fantasy Battles army currently at 10,000 points of old and new models. I need to expand on the newer models. I want to build my Witch Elf army under Hellebron.

In 4th Ed of Fantasy Battles Witch Elves were a force that was nigh unstoppable. 5th and 6th Ed. Dark Elf army books did not allow for such armies to be composed anymore. With the 7th Ed. however, with Hellebron as the General you can once again make an entire Witch Elf army which falls in line with the fluff on Druchii from the start. I love my Witch Elves and I have always fielded them. I will let you know how they do though.

I have always been a pirate myself with a Core of Black Ark Corsairs flanked with small units of Dark Riders, a Reaper, a Cauldron and a large unit of Witch Elves. I do like my Dark Riders though even though they didn't improve the models during the latest update to the Dark Elves as I had hoped they would.

Yes, boxed sets would be so much better. I plan to do some major conversions as a result using the Wood Elf Glade Riders and Dark Elf Corsairs and Dark Riders.
