Description
Jeanne of Lorraine before her participation in the battles to lift the siege of Orleans, May 1429. This battle was the turning point in the 100 years war between the English and their Burgundian allies against the French under the Dauphin –future King Charles VII of France. Jeanne, who was 19 at the time, inspired the dispirited French army, always leading at the front, and preferring to use her banner instead of her sword, which reputedly, was never unsheathed.
Her banner here depicts one side of it, a white dove on an azure escutcheon holding in its beak a streamer with the words “De par le Roy di Ciel”
The blue shield is heraldry for Blois, while the yellow shield with red chevron is of Bourbonnais

That's A LOT OF WORK!! lol.. my gosh.. I'm so lazy that it hurts to think about all the hours it must have taken you... but it looks cool and great!!! And.. yeah.. I'll be studying that war very soon.. I'm on the year 1170.. so in a couple of centurys I'll come back here again to read this bit!
