Brilliant. I hope to find more of these as I go through your gallery. I'm just starting in Painter and need all the help I can get.

So basically you treat it as if it were a physical, traditional painting, right? Do you usually use this method or do you ever do things differently?

I didn't really get it much since it was pretty vague, but I guess it's pretty hard to explain the detailed process. But the pictures helped. Thanks!

I love these vague walkthroughs. I learn so much from them. As a newer artist (and even newer painter) I have trouble with the idea/technique of slowly building up detail as the painting matures, I always have some idea or belief that I have to start out right away painting in microdetail, and these sort of walkthroughs show that its the otherway around. I really appreciate you making this. Thankyou.

i was really chuffed for you mate when i opened up Painter X for the first time and saw your stuff in the little intro image. Great going! And, i like this "tutorial". Its more of a guide than a tutorial, which is what it should be. I'll always remember this buddhist phrase:

"Progress comes to those who train and train; reliance on secret techniques will get you nowhere." - Morihei Ueshiba

Which reflects my general opinion on tutorials. But this is nice because its just a guide ... congrats again bud and may your success be deservedly ever expanding!
