I don't think i know how to install this. I have XP, but i just don't have a clue, i'm a huge n00b. Some help, please?

Thanks for the VS. Unfortunately, it doesn't apply correctly when I select it in display properties. Windows Explorer still shows the default blue explorerbar on the left. It does the same thing if I double click ROSENROT.msstyles in the resourses folder.
The only way the VS will apply correctly is if I double click the ROSENROT.mssstyles from the zip archive.

What do you mean it didn't apply correctly? Screenshot? If you mean the default bar shown on the left -- Common Tasks.. other places... details & whatever else is there -- that could be because I didn't skin that part of the shell, but it was so long ago I can't remember if I did or not.
Screenshots would be appreciated.

lol...u dont have vista, so dont praise xp. vista has fixed almost every fucked up thing that xp had, ive never even gotten an unsteady os with vista ultimate...plz dont knock it. they werent jacking off for 7 yrs while making this new one man, lol.

No idea. I would guess 6 or 7 years ago... So I'd only have been 7 or 8, so I wouldn't remember, but I had a long enough go to judge it for myself, and I just couldn't like it, I'm sticking with XP.
And MS's new OS is supposed to be coming in three years (PFFT yeah right, as if they'll keep that schedule) - It was codename "Vienna" but now it's ".7" or something similar.

ive been on windows since 95 n its only gotten better, minus ME. n i def dont doubt windows 7 will be released in 2010 purely due to the fact that in order to rush out vista they had to take out many of the 'new' age technology that they wanted to put it in. they have most of it done, its jus finalizing it all really. the betas i used back last yr for vista were better than xp in many ways even with all the flaws of it being a beta man. open ur eyes 8)

I went to Vista, then reverted to XP. After 3 days on XP box I noticed all the things that were wrong, now it's 6 months on Vista, only trouble was I had to hack the ATI driver because they dont support mobility generic versions (on XP too). Even gained some gaming performance so thumbs up. Just don't go x64 yet
