Description

After having spent some time making internal frames and going into some minor detail on them, I went back to my Frame Crash mecha, the Braves, and realized that their design wasn't up to par with modern standards.

After getting so far into designing them with the current design base, I'm now working on Frame Crash mecha modeled on an internal frame like my more recent units. Technically every Brave is built utilizing the Clad Calvus as a base, and I just build and merge parts on top of that. This time I'm going for something along the lines of my Exceed, Airgetlam, Durandal and Rhongomiant. Here's a shot of the cockpit for the new Brave units, as opposed to the old Cockpit View .

Compared to the old cockpit view, the new cockpit is more simplified (or streamlined more like it?), as well as more compact in terms of available space (It's smaller than the old one even though it doesn't look it, as I eliminated wasted space). Less buttons, using the simplified joysticks from the Durandal. I did move the joysticks away from cockpit chair, so they can be pulled towards the user, pushed away from them, while also having a better degree of motion. Also emergency release handles, as the cockpit is now built in a way where it can eject from the back. Gauges have moved to the monitors, which are large and give a greater frontal view than the previous cockpit. Also gave it much more legroom, and three pedals instead of two. Tried making as little wasted space as I could.

Much like the previous cockpit, it opens from the back. This new cockpit however has additional armor covers that slide into place around the cockpit, securing it in place. I also think the cockpit seat looks much comfier than the hard metal one last time. There's also belt buckles for securing the pilot, as well as a securing bolt built into the chair that can hold the pilot in place if they're wearing a pilot suit.
