I'm loving the majority of the new pokemon and even the new alolan forms but this guy T_TThis guy is a bit of a 'stretch'.. excuse the pun.
Now don't get me wrong it's actually a clever concept but they could have done SO much more to make it look less of a joke.
It's Grass/Dragon-type for crying out loud!

I like the actual Alolan Exeggutor more. It makes much more sense, than him suddenly gaining arms and wings :3
But it looks cool anyway

I can understand that, my main issue was the fact that it felt like the same design, only with a longer neck
I thought it was a missed opportunity to embellish on the older design.

Yeah, but their whole thing with Alolan Forms is, that PokΓ©mon change because of the environment they are in. And Exeggcute grows taller in Alola because of the sunnier weather.
I wouldnt be surprised if the original design of Exeggcutor was actually more like this, because its supposed to be a palm tree, and they look more like Alolan Exeggcutor.
They probably then changed it, because of the limitations of the first games. Imagine making Alolan Exeggcutor into a gen 1 sprite. Regular Exeggcutor already looked goofy enough in that gen.
But hey, as I said, it still looks cool. I just wanted to point that out :3
