Description

Here we have an orange-skinned, roughly human-sized hobgoblin. For those who don't know, these are the larger, more organized, and bellicose cousins of goblins. Their species is highly regimented, and lives in societies dominated by their military, usually in the form of migratory tribes headed by warlords, or a semi-settled society which is able to move again when needed. Male hobgoblins practically live to fight, and while the females are trained to defend their homes, camps, and families, this is done as an absolute last resort. Instead, female hobgoblins are expected to breed as much as possible, and while these ladies are slightly less fecund than their smaller green cousins, their libidos are about as strong.

Contrary to the martial reputation of their species, a female hobgoblin who wants to fight is seen as repulsive, apart from situations of absolute military necessity. Any loss in population growth could be fatal to a hobgoblin tribe over the long run, and their duties of breeding and raising children is portrayed in their society as every bit as important a duty as front-line warfare. Indeed, while hobgoblins frown on pleasure-seeking behavior on the part of their males, they hold up a certain sort of decadence as the epitome of hobgoblin femalehood, so long as it facilitates their breeding duties. Pleasures such as bathing and massages are seen as necessary for female hobgoblins, as being useful for increasing their libidos and reducing stress which might interfere with their willingness to mate.
