This is an old sketch, I am just kind of satisfied of the overall impression and I hve always liked this form of constrain and the subsequent display.

I immagine the shame, frustration, muscular ache and skin bruises that it may cause after hours/days wearing it, but I think it was a useful option when a property or a prisoner was likely to escape.
