Okay, question: how old is Penny Dice supposed to be, exactly?
It seems kind of weird that heβs young enough to still need diapers but old enough to do chores and help around the house.

Far as I know, Castor Oil is like some very nasty tasting liquid Tylenol. it's a very very old medicine. IDK exactly if it makes you sick? or keeps you from getting sick? but all I know is it tastes NASTY. which is why you commonly see it in comics like this as a form of punishment. Β

Ah I see, I assumed it was like cooking oil which isnβt good for you. Iβm not too keen on trying it but I assumed it was medicine but he didnβt look sick.

Like I said. I'm not 100% sure what it is. But just based on what I picked up from stories and such, that would seem to be the case. I'm sure a quick google search would yield more answers but I'm to lazy at this point in time.

Caster oil was used for colds used as a medicine, you can see this stuff is common in Cartoons like in the Tom and Jerry Cartoon "Baby Puss" or in Tex avery's cartoon House of tomorrow in Junior's Medicine cabinate a big bottle of Caster Oil and a big spoon
It is used for punishment but also to keep kids Healthy for its vitiminsΒ

He dosn't really have an 'age' per say.....as his body has just been shrunk down very small, I have always left it ambiguous that way.....since age would denote his level of dexterity or education and since his mind is fully an adults...its just his body and emotions that are hindered, but I would say he is about the height of a 3/4 year old

this is perfect. yes he earned a severe spanking at first but spankings should be used as a last resort as well or in extreme cases (like punishing him initially for doing the devils dirty work again) alternative punishments like this do work than a daily spanking

Yes!...because he needs a bit of ongoing punishments until Elder Kettle is sure he will not repeat this transgression, and nothing like some extra punishments to keep him on his toes to do just that.

Well it depends on the child, I think the spankings are used only as a last resort such as Dice inflicts emotional or physical harm to one or more people as for this punishment it would stand more as him speaking out of turn or general acting up and minor misbehavingΒ
