I really love the way you have composed this painting, and the square canvas as well. I think painting on square canvas often really makes for stronger compositions!I am currently working on a portrait of my father in similar colour spectrum to this painting but your handling of the background is so lively it's really inspiring.

wow. theres a definite feeling of space in this, it looks like it could be a 4x4 foot painting or larger... but its not. kickass. i think i love the electrical socket and jeans above everything else.

This is fantastic!!!!!.....This is my new fave.....Is it hard to hang masonite??...how about finding a piece that is not warped?...Do you get it from a hardware store, or art store?...sorry for the pestering but I've been playing around with the idea of painting on masonite, but I have all of these questions...

Sehr Gut meinen freund. I think you could have done a slightly more laid back feel. But the pain there really makes it feel so left out as the expression of your character is very sad as the background connotes a gloomy feeling. Very emotional painting.

This is one of my favourites so far.

beautiful painting. i would have never thought a composition such as this could be so provoking. his posture and the background wall make me want to sit down next to him and just listen. it's a very "inviting" painting. there is an invisiblity that surrounds him, but also, the wall, unfinished, and filled with sketches, is very interesting to look at and relate to.
a wonderful painting.

Unexpected composition, awesome technique, perfect anatomy, gamut
and quite odd accent on the green and white tHingies pinned to the wall
tiny nuances of light on them which gives details..

What are those pinned thingies? I am curious..
