Description
The next in a series of Deluxe OCs.Literne, the main character of my fantasy novel "The New Sunrise" .
She has fair skin, sea blue eyes and golden hair (not simply blonde but shining like gold). "Morning dew" is the meaning of her name what was given to her during the initiation ceremony when she was acknowledged as a Reborn. I tried to picture the moment of the ceremony when her dress had suddenly covered with diamonds.

Well, I just put on a lot of pearl/glass bead drag&drop items in white colour to cover the dress, and then added a lot of tiny dot D&D in different colours to achieve the ''diamond colour play'' effect.

A dress as shining as stars? Maybe this reminds of it indeed, after all the diamond is the most bright of all gemstones. However, I did not think of the fairytale at all while making it.

No, I am quite sure I was not thinking of it, whether consciously or not 
However, I always found nice the idea of the three dresses from The Donkeyskin fairytale, in the colours of sun, moon and sky (or weather). Should I have time, I would to make the taffeta versions of them for my Victorian OCs.

With 'Pride and Prejudice' you mean Regency, right? As a fashion style it definitely had some very likeable features. While it is not my favourite, when designing outfits for characters of an own story of mine set in that time, I got to like certain trends of Regency fashion.
My main art project at the moment is the big fashion plate , but I certainly plan to make my Regency OCs.

Well, the most of these outfits are mix of medieval and fantasy, not the best combination for me since I rather do not like medieval fashion (except for the earliest period).
With regard to the themes, here is a nice recreation depicting the sun, moon and stars dresses .
And this lovely picture could pass as a sky dress.

P.S.: When I read this Thousandfurs/InuYasha crossover fanfiction ( www.fanfiction.net/s/2624451/1… ), I saw the merit of re-interpretations of the dresses, in this case, Kimonos. What do you think?

Well, if I were to, I would have just drawn my very own versions, I believe, in the way I envision them.
Perhaps one day I will do that.
With regard to the idea of cultural interpretaion of the dresses, it is no doubt curious. Being not acquaintanced with that particular fashion myself and thus not having the audacity to deal with it, still I would like to take a look if someone else would have had them painted.

Well, not ages of course, but about three hours. And still it doesn't look like I supposed - actually it should have look like a dress covered with shining diamonds sparkling with all colours of rainbow... But it looks rather like wool than diamonds in the end...
