You see, precious April, that twelvemonth occurred
Just heaps of undreamed-of dramatic events.

And can you remember me weeping because of
Brown eyes, then unknown, then unloved, and so dark?..
And what is that feeling the summer is going
To give as a gift to my icy blue eyes?

Oh my precious April! Tell me, what’s befalling?
So keenly I love, yet myself I am forlorn.
I let my warm heart be so shuttered and broken,
I still will be fond of, I’ll just become brighter,
And will meet the dawn of an April with smile.
