Recently added to the Crochet Pokedex I seem to be compiling is the bristly raccoon Pokemon, Zigzagoon. You all may remember him as the "Rattata" of Generation 3. I always thought he was cute, but I would LOATHE running around in my Sapphire version and confront NOTHING but ZIGZAGOON.A commissioner asked for one, and I did my best to deliver. I have only ever seen one other crochet Zigzagoon, and it was rather small. This guy is 1 foot and 10 inches long. Something that is definitely huggable. He wasn't really difficult; Β he just had a LOT of spikes. I can get impatient having to sit still and repetitiously produce single pieces, which was the only challenge I was really presented with.Well, the mouth took a few tries. I actually have never embroidered before, so I know that is something I need practice.
Zigzagoon looks way better in person... I don't like the photos. The sun set already so I had to place him in places where I could get the most natural light. Unfortunately, those places weren't exactly the best to try and pose him. Maybe tomorrow I will able to capture his true character and beauty.
As a "prototype" Pokemon (meaning this is my first attempt at this plush), I think he turned out rather well. I hope that his new owner enjoys his presence. I know I will miss him. He is a rather comforting lad, and gives the best hugs.
Well--- onto the next commission! My list is getting shorter!

Ha ha. I KNOW. I actually got really bored after some time and had to take a break. However, I managed to make 3 of these guys, so--- it works out when you are reaching for a better Pokemon.

Ha ha. Thank you! I am actually surprised by the fan-base of Zigzagoon. I always thought he was cute, but that feeling waned during the Ruby & Sapphire years, because I kept running into the stupid things when I sought something else. I was under the impression that many held the same sentiment, but, apparently, we have let our grudge go

Oh, those points! I have never done a commission for points before. I have always done them for cash since we use it to pay the bills. (Ah, the joys of the married, college life!) While my husband likes the statistics that come with a DeviantArt account, I just can't afford to take points as payment for a commission. But, I wouldn't completely turn away a combination payment of points/cash/art.

Humans are very difficult. Trying to match skin colors is bad enough, but faces are the worst. I can get away with animalistic faces, but human faces are tough. I have considered it though.

He took about 3 days, on and off. He's so full of triangles that he took a bit longer than I would have liked, but he turned out great!

Ha ha. I see that now. My husband is usually the one on here, so when he called me over to see what was going on with my page, I saw the dog's photo, but not the artwork. It is very cool. I see you have a guinea pig as well.
