Well that's it... The final piece for my portfolio. It is now officially brown trousers time as I prepare to get out there and begin looking for a tattoo apprenticeship. :sI was looking at drawing some eagles, but I thought stuff it I want to draw owls instead. I was going for a sue-do harry potter/lord of the rings/celticy kind of feel.
As I was finishing up the sketch I accidentally got a bunch of ink all over the owls face so I had to transfer it to a new paper. FML
Sketched with 2H mechanical pencil, inked with pen/brush and ink and finally coloured up with pro markers.

Personally man, i think is pretty darn special, i truly love it, did you come up with the design on your own or was there a little inspiration involved? I wish you TONNES of luck on finding an apprenticeship. I came across this picture as i am studying for when i begin creating my own portfolio, which will probably take a few years as i dont think my skill level is really up there. This is neo traditional am i right? I love the style its brilliant. Mostly i get inspired by types like David Tevenal etc
This piece is pretty damn awesome and i honestly would love to get such a gorgeous owl tattoo'ed on my skin, so im sure plenty of others would be super interested when they come across your works in the future :3
The 'celtic' looking background just totally finishes off this piece. Its spectacular, your eagle is pretty damn impressive as well might i add. Anyway...thought you should know that you've done and AMAZING job, especially since you had to do it twice

The colours didn't take long as It helps to work fast when dealing with markers. The sketch probably took a little longer to get right. About 4 hours on and off I think.
