Hey, diddle diddle, time for a riddle. !The Riddler, from DC Comics.
It has always surprised me how popular this villain is. Well he IS very interesting. If they ever bring him to the Nolan Movies, I dont see him as the old TV show riddler. I see him kind of like a Jigsaw killer, or maybe a Zodiac kind of criminal Where you dont know who the riddler is until the very end of the story. I dont know, I think this character is very promising for the next batman movie. Please dont make him like the Batman Forever Riddler though!!!

Yeah they should definitely avoid another Jim Carey. Wouldn't fit the new films at all.

yeah... sorry for double dipping. but i agree... he shouldnt be like the Batman forever Riddler... i mean. Jim Carrey was a good Riddler... but he'd be a better CARNAGE... even though that wont happen. but besides the fact...KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!

I say no. If he was a Jigsaw type of killer, he would NOT be the Riddler. Eddie's not a violent type of person, and he would never go all gorey or sadistic. He doesn't consider people as victims; they're merely casual pawns for his Game. He doesn't want to hurt them; the point is that he just wouldn't care if ever some of them got accidentally hurt or killed. But he would NEVER hurt or kill them intentionally, nor would he use that as the main element of his Game.
And not knowing the Riddler's identity until the end of the story, wouldn't work either. We need to know Eddie from the beginning in order to fully appreciate his insanity and his story. If he was a mystery until the end, there would be no space for psychological development.
All this being said - I love this drawing!!! Though his necktie and his gloves should've been purple. XP

I heard a while back that David Tennant was interested in the role. What do you think about that? I personally think he's a much better riddler than the constantly sought after Johnny Depp.

I like David Hyde Pierce for the Riddler (though I realise I'm in the minorit on that one and it's absolutely NOT happening 
Depp could do it but I wouldn't consider him ideal for the part. I don't know much about David Tennant... probably worth looking into.

David Tennant is Doctor Who. He also played Barty Crouch Jr. in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
I'm not familiar with Pierce....what works has he been in?

He's most well known for playing Niles on "Frasier" but he's also been in alot of films ("Down With Love"," Treasure Planet", "Hell Boy", etc.) Usually smaller parts but he's a very underrated actor.
I would love to see him as a sinister, calculating character. Plus, he plays a good neurotic intellectual and that's how I've always imagined the Riddler.
p.s. I watched some clips on YouTube of Tennant playing Hamlet and I agree that he would make an excellent Riddler. He's got the right build and the right eyes and the right voice. I wouldn't be dissapointed at all
