Description
Wip one of the many figures I've either got started of jotted down/roughed out. I need to geet quicker and devote more of my time to doing these things to get more done. She's a bit "armless" at the moment as I may well be changing her lower arm completely - and there's more stuff to do/add/refine. we'll see what occursRelated content

Love the pose! Will you cast this in bronze or resin? Did you use cloth to create the skirt? It is exceptional, as well as the rest of the sculpt.

Cheers. My casting will be resin, but the aim is to only sell in bronze.
Metal mesh is involved in making the skirt [this is over 2ft long]. Annoyingly fabric won't stay floating in mid-air!
I was using this as a test for some other sculptures which would have billowing/floating fabric. What is simple when taking a photograph in air or in a water tank turns to be very awkward trying to do it in clay.

Metal mesh, of course. I did not realize your piece was that large.
I use clay also (and cast in resin). The fabric part of a clay sculpture seems to be very challenging, especially when making it look like you did in your wip.
Your piece looks wonderful. Thanks for sharing and thanks for the details.
Cheers.
