I can, but I am very busy making things for people. It wouldn't be this year. Might be able to fit you in next year. Email me via my website if you can wait that long.

I really cannot even handle how life-like your sculptures are, the attention to detail is phenomenal : ) It looks so natural.

Uncanny. The intensity of the expression sells this.

Dude. That's outstanding. You have a real tallent for the likeness & expression. I have a question tho, if that's ok. Having read your description of this piece on your website what did you use to seal the wet clay before making the fibreglass mould? I always thought you could never mix clay & GRP because of the moisture in the clay effecting the set of the gel coat.
Thanks for any info & keep up the good work.

So if someone tells you something can't be done, you take their blind word for it?
I found out several ways myself, and it's done all the time, for film work for example.
Sealing the clay with something like clear acrylic, shellac or [as I prefer] spray vinyl coating [from Jacobsons chemicals], then a release applied on that [wax, pva, combination of].
Isophthalic gelcoat is retarted on damp clay by the cold of it, not the moisture, so you want about a 20 minute gel time [do some tests]. I regularly do gelcoat straight on clay for mould flanges.
General purpose polyester resins definitely do not like moisture while curing though.

Thanks for the info.
I'd tried few bench tests in the past with polyester resin but never tried Isophthalic resin. This is where I've been going wrong. I'll give it a go.
Cheers.

You can use regular polyester once the gelcoat has cured enough.

If it's a portrait, the sculpture part is 2-3 weeks. Initailly it's quick, but you slow down to a grind getting the features right.
