Brent sighed as he watched his friend Josh poring over books in the library.

Josh struggled to avoid staring at the cute girl sitting next to him as her hair swayed behind her and her chest heaved up and down. He desperately tried to distract himself by saying, “Don’t worry, Brent. The spell that transformed you into a girl has to be here somewhere.”

Brent could only sigh again. Despite his insistence that he was fine as a girl, his friend continued to spend all of his time searching for a cure. In reality, the true solution was sitting in a drawer next to Brent’s bed.

He hadn’t accidentally cast the spell. He had spent hours in front of a mirror rehearsing his story about how Josh’s girlfriend had become so possessive that she wanted all of Josh’s time, so she had cursed Brent by turning him into a girl. That way, he could turn Josh against her and insert himself in the void all at once.

While Josh had dumped his girlfriend in an instant, he was much slower at picking up Brent’s advances in his new form. In fact, this ended up having the opposite effect, as Josh was starting to believe that Brent’s behavior was evidence that the curse was changing his mind into a girl’s mind.

Brent wondered whether it was time to cast another spell. If he did, he wouldn’t be able to change himself back if something went wrong in the future, but that might just be the only way to keep Josh from confronting his ex-girlfriend.
