Join Africa-comic group!Okay, this picture has been roaming the internetz for a while, I drew it a couple weeks ago (as you can see from my signature, still indicating March '13) and uploaded it on Facebook first, but I liked it and thought I'd upload it here, too
When I submitted the test page for Africa I received loads of useful pieces of advice, one in particular, which many of you suggested, was to make Africa and Chui more different, because they looked too much alike.
Well, I've been working on that ever since. Can you tell Africa and Chui apart in this picture?
Please be frank, I don't get offended if you say you don't! XD It's very important for me that readers manage to distinguish characters, especially if the two main characters are so similar.
I also added a like of rounded spots on Africa's pelt, since I received the suggestion to vary her spot pattern a bit. How do you like it? ^_^

Africa and Chui are LEOPARDS. Not Cheetahs. Not Jaguars.
I know that cheetahs aren't this bulky. Because these two AREN'T cheetahs! XD

I can easily tell Africa, who is round, while Chui is Sharper, and the spot patterns are easy to tell apart, the colors of thier eyes are a giveaway to who they are, too. Last, i noticed Africe has a red-orange line down her back, while Chui has a red line down his back, so i can tell them apart

I like how you've made Africa's spots round while Chui's are square and also how you've made Chui darker than Africa. How obvious it must sound, I think it looks great and helps a LOT with telling them apart - I remember having a bit trouble with it in the beginning xD Keep up the good work!

You already know my opinion, but I stared at the picture and I think I might have some new suggesions.
You can try making Chuiβs tail a bit thicker. Maybe that will make him look eve more manly. And whiskers maybe. You can add whiskers to his muzzle. that will definitely make a visual difference even if they would be without colours. Also, since you want Africa to be round, you can also make her muzzle more round. Just a big round kitty-cat muzzle. Or you can remove the brown stripe on her back instead of adding those round spots. Come to think of it... They kinda stand out. Or you can try making all of her spots round. That would also give people a visual difference. Chuiβs spots being square and Africaβs being round.

I have no trouble telling them apart. o.o Though you might want to be a little cautious on using too many angles? The styles will look completely separate and awkward if you get too zealous with them. Just a thought.
