The library of Ljosa-El has a rather large collection of books that describe the mathematics that helped the Woodwarg build their city. It might hold a key to future inventions of Eirian’s - at least, that was why you were there when the Fog fell and the settlement dipped into chaos.It is only you and Aelredd in the little bookshop after the sun falls and he’s about to ask you to leave, when chaos erupts. Wargs are running and screaming and fire licks at the skyline from where the Fog is supposed to hold back the outside world. There is a thump upstairs and Aelredd pulls you behind one of the largest bookshelves.
There’s a quiet growling noise and the thick scent of death - rot that has been building for weeks, choking your nose and throat. From between the books, you see a flash of teeth, and then there is a smash of window glass that lets in smoke and it - whatever it is - is gone.
