Concept art for a demon that would be fought in the tutorial level of an unnamed horror RPG.

Concept:
The last demon I created was rather large, so I was told to create a demon who was small enough to be used in the tutorial level of the game.

Pencil on Printer Paper. I wanted to make sure the demon was alien in nature, so he has no eyes or mouth, just a Silent-Hill esque face with little gill slits in a curved triangular face. Like the jellyfish demon this little guy has large mantis forearms, I thought maybe some of the lesser demons should have some aspects in common with the larger demons. I gave him human arms for legs, making him not very stable and easy to knock off his feet (he's supposed to be fought in the tutorial, so he can't be to hard). There's also a vague shark theme for some reason, with some shark-scaly skin and dorsal spines? Probably because I'm currently taking a Science Illustration class taught by a teach whose work largely consists of marine life...
