Description Lots of art to upload, so I'll start off with my favourite - the Rakshasa. This is final character art for the very addictive video game Puzzle Quest 2 which hits the U.S shelves today (22.06.10)!

Unlike the typical D&D one, my version has it's palms facing the right way.

Painter and Photoshop

Puzzle Quest 2 is developed by Infinite Interactive and published by D3 (Namco).

Did you do art for this game? Because I love this game and the art in it. It's such a good time waster.

There's a Hindi god/dess in here somewhere... Or I would think that in their massive pantheon they would have a tiger humanoid god.

I actually only use a multiply layer when adding a texture. I learned that particular style from whom I work with.

Ooooh, very nice.
I didn't know about the D&D ones, but I just looked them up now and the backwards hands seem to confuse a lot of artists.

Puzzle Quest? It kind of SOUNDS lame.... but the fact that it has a character, which you wouldn't expect from the title, and such an awesome looking character has intrigued me. I will go check it out now.

You mean you never heard of Puzzle Quest 1?
It was a huge success when it came out a year or two back!

Avalik In reply to spiritofcat [2010-06-23 04:24:48 +0000 UTC]

It's a pretty generic name, so I've probably heard of it, but I've also heard 100 other titles similar to it.

spiritofcat In reply to Avalik [2010-06-23 04:29:03 +0000 UTC]

Generic name maybe, but the game itself was something special for sure, and it got great reviews and award nominations.

I'm not really into those kind of games so that's probably why I haven't heard about it too much.

But without the backwards hands, aren't they just anthro tigers then?

Mottenfest In reply to LupusGrey [2010-10-02 11:44:28 +0000 UTC]

I agree.

Ashalind In reply to LupusGrey [2010-06-22 08:13:41 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, but you wouldn't put that in a game. Rakshasa sounds better, lol. It's not up to me anyway...

LupusGrey In reply to Ashalind [2010-06-22 08:57:14 +0000 UTC]

True, there's a point to that. However they could at least have kept the backwards hands, especially if they are still supposed to be evil demons with illusions.
But as you said, not your decision.
