Description Like a ghost in the fog of your memory,
It had nothing to do with something but meant everything.
The collision of your kiss makes it hard,
but the best songs are the ones from the heart,
the ones that tear us apart.

This is me painting my hopes with the ideas of you.

It seems to me that female poets always have such an interesting and distinct way of writing when compared to men. It's always somewhat vague, so very nostalgic and relational/conversational. I've been a bit of a lurker and have read a good bit of your poetry by now, and it all seems so deep that I fear only you may understand it fully. Still, I get sort of an unrequited love thing here and it's hard to deny that the last line is genius. Good work! Keep at it!

To be perfectly honest, I don't like a lot of female poets and writers. Maybe I just haven't found one that tickles my fancy. I always try to keep what I say vague. I'd like it to be broad and interpreted in many different ways. I know that people have a hard time getting some of it and maybe I can figure out how to make it more available while still being mysterious. I like to thing that my newest stuff, like the microfiction is less mysterious. I am a big fan of unrequited love and those single sentences were put together from different notebooks. They were sentences that had no poem or place. I really like to put a stamp at the end so that it hits and you wonder if you should go back and re-read. I'm a work in progress. Thank you for reading as much as you do.

You're welcome. Leaving that punch at the end is a pretty common poetic device, so I think it's something to keep at. I'll have to have a glance at the microfiction. Prose isn't usually my schtick, but I'll look at it.

I never really learned anything about poetry so I just go with what feels right to me. Thanks again for reading and letting me know your thought.

You're welcome. Hopefully I don't come off as a snot. I've just been reared on too much literature theory and such. Odd at my age, really. It tends to make one feel rather old XD.

haha! Nah. I don't mind anyone's criticisms. Everyone's been really kind to me and for the most part into at least a few lines. I just do what I like, regardless of form or style or topic.

That is generally the best way to be. Some would say it seems incohesive, but everything kind of falls along a normal curve eventually.

"but the best songs are the ones from the heart, the ones that tear us apart" - resonates of Joy Division's Love Will Tear Us Apart (yes, I know it's predictable and their biggest hit, nevertheless they're one of my all time favorite bands!)

MCR , but you might not want to listen to them if you don't want to start self-mutilation and disembowelment. (What will inevitably happen after listening to their discography)

i adored the first major album, the second one didnt do anything for me. fun fact: the lead singer gerard writes a comic and also is married to the hot bass player jessika from MSI.

I linked to it in my above comment, if you clicked MCR . (Linked again for your plesure)
The name of the song is Cemetery Drive. I really like MSI, but dislike MCR, so I wasn't too happy about the connection! I just hope they never make an MMCSRI (MyMindlessChemicalSelfRomanceIndulgence) collaboration. I'd probably set fire to every Hot Topic on terra firma for all the promo posters they'd put up.
