I agree, and I'm so glad you mentioned outdoor cats... my friends know nothing about what allowing your cat to live outdoors risks of them! they love their cats, and I appreciate that, but I wish tehy would put the effort in to get heir cat to stay inside where they are safe D: especially here where we also have coyotes, and fishers (aka fisher cats in some areas), mountain lions, etc! not to mention all the roads (and roadkill D since we're in a very populated area.
<3 using this!

This is why when I grow up, I don't need a spouse. I want animals. Lots of animals. That cat I might find on the street that my possible spouse may not like? Psh. Too bad. If that cat's hurt or all alone and stray, it's coming with me to the doctors and living with me anyway. No spouse works even better... I only have to pay for one human being and lots of animals. (Fun fact: I love animals more than humans. : D)

I really love animals, too. I just hate those cold-hearted conservatives (which is redundant, really) who have not a care in the world for animals or the environment.
And I know that there are SOME nice conservatives out there (very, extremely, and exceptionally little), but I believe they are generally very close-minded and self-centered. For example, my father thinks that animals don't have feelings or emotions. He says he doesn't like Animal Planet because "they're treating animals like they actually have feelings." Disgusting!
I would really love to do all I can to help animals.
Great stamp!!

I think of it a bit differently. Yes, I support animal rights (as I showed by ing this), but not in saying that animals are special or anything. No, I see it as, "What gives humans the right to judge what should and should not be harmed?" You know? Like, people get so pissed off when one human harms another, but if a human or a group of human scientists makes very painful, often lethal experiments on rabbits or rats, nobody says crap except the minority of true activists.
The way I see it, humans are a hypocritical species (in general) because of animal cruelty, when those who are cruel to animals get pissed when somebody hurts another human.
Know what I mean?

Although I support animal rights, I read your description and I do not support abandoning young, injured, or tame animals. However that bit about cats living 3 years in the wild is unfortunate but remember that foxes also live 3-5 years in the wild and 15 in captivity yet nobody cries, or neuters them in the wild even when they see them getting run over by cars and succumbing to parasites and diseases. Why? Because they are wild animals. But cats that are born feral most likely will die feral, and are difficult to socialize after a certain age, and feral cats already have ways of taking care of themselves such as forming colonies and groups arranged in a hierarchical structure and territory. Bird lovers, though really flawed in that many want to eradicate cats, note that cats are very effective predators. But one thing is a cat born wild, another is one that has had an owner or too young to fend for itself alone being forced to fend itself in nature ans alone, they probably wouldn't even survive a few days.
I have a spiritual connection with cats, both tame and feral, and I believe that both need to be respected in their contexts. And the same goes for all wild animals.
I believe part of animal rights is respecting animals for what and who they are. Unfortunately even PETA members insist on the cruel act of making their cats vegan, when cats are obligate carnivores, and may succumb to a great number of illnesses from blindness to liver and digestive disorders. On the other hand so many people buy pets as toys or child replacements, and this is not good either. Many animals such as Chihuahuas are abandoned because people think they're buying a cute fashion accessory when that "accessory" happens to need a lot of attention and care. I saw something on TV on 20/20 I think about people who buy pet monkeys and spoil them, dress them, and give them lots of treats and candy only for the monkey to finally snap and attack the owner and many even have diabetes from eating too much candy. Similar fates also happen to pets used as surprise gifts for birthdays or Christmas or bunnies used as Easter decorations.

I really think animal rights is such a good cause. Not to the scale of PETA; they are hypocrites and extremely insane, in my opinion. But I think that humans should ensure that animals are loved and well cared for. And that they are protected. <3

It is sooo hypoctitical putting this on your page or anything if you eat meat! I am 12 years old and I have been a vegetarian for 6 years now, i'm thinking of becoming vegan soon... It isnt just dogs and cats get treated cruely!!! Do you have anyy idea what suffering and torture animals on factory farms go through??!! Just for your tastebuds!!!!! Did you know that if you give a bunch of chickens a ball, they will play with it! Also, Pigs are actually more intelligent then dogs!! So they know what is happening to them when they get slaughtered! They make greatt pets too! You can choose not to listen to me because of my age, But that is just your silly choice. Animals will get revenge....mark my words. Please take a look at this and realise the suffering animals go through for you to eat! [link] Thankyou Also, animals in animal testing laboratories don't have a great time either! Stuck in cages all their life and ending up painfully dieing. Watch this to get a full understanding please. [link] In conclusion, You cannot say you support animals rights if you eat them. I feel very strongly about this, as you can probably tell.

Hey, want to know something funny? Farmers love for hunters to come onto their land and kill invading animals like deer. I can almost assure you that without hunting that you couldn't afford to be a veggie! So instead of rubbing your "good morals" in everyone's face, get your facts straight. I support animal welfare AND am a hunter. I do NOT like factory farming, I don't drink milk anymore (for a variety of reasons.) and would never order veal. I don't eat ham if I can help it, and avoid pork products. I've been to a pig farm and hated the conditions.
My point being that don't get all morally superior. An animal died for your salad.

Not only that, eating animals is not as bad as you make it out to be. If you think that's bad, have you seen animals be thrown off cliffs to their deaths? Or be shot for no apparent reason? Get gasoline poured on them and be lit on fire? Get skinned alive??? GET HOOKS STUCK IN THEM AND BE USED AS LIVE SHARK BAIT????? If you haven't seen these things, then you have yet to see the extent of what animals go through.

Ummm, yes, eating animals IS as bad as i make it out to be. Have you seen what they do in factory farms???!! Yes I know all the other stuff that happens to animals.... I'm not naive, I know allot about this stuff, I'm just saying that she was making it out to be just cats, dogs andanimals that and domestic are victims of cruelty. I have seen the "extent of what animals go through" very much thankyou. Please not under-estimare me, Thankyou.

Underestimate you? Why would I do that. XDD Yes, I have seen what animals go through on factory farms. Cows being knocked over with plows and trucks and what not. A true shame. But the eating animals part, is not as bad as the killing animals part. Have you heard that some animals are literally skinned alive to be prepared to be eaten? In my opinion, that's worse than just being eaten. They are alive while going through their pain. They get bashed with hammers to break their bones other than being slashed.
And another thing. You're only 12. You can't be on this site if you are 12.

Yes but if you are eating the meat, you are supporting all of this cruelty. So, eating animals IS as bad as the killing part.
Allot of people on this site are under-age. The age restriction is kinda stupid as anyone of any age should be aloud to show their art.
Its been fun....Discussing with you. xD

I'd never ever support the cruelty to animals. Although eating them could be considered cruel, some people can't help themselves.
Yeah I know, but they should keep check on it though. I saw a 7 year old on this site, and it can have some pretty bad stuff on it.
Same here. XDD

I'm guessing you didn't understand the "Animal Right" Part of the stamp. She's supporting the care and love of animals. CALM DOWN!!!!! Geez. We know full well what happens to Animals in laboratory testing. I even knew that pigs are smarter than dogs. But please don't bash her just for saying one thing and then go all evil on her the next. You can support animal rights, yet still eat them too. I understand you may not feel the same way, but just calm down.
