I stopped and pulled out my pen mid-read of this rp between and as SOON as I read Hawkweed spoot and I had to start drawing immediately. It was going to be a quick thing but nothing I do is ever allowed to be simple so it took about 4 hours in one session to finish it. I'm lucky I decided not to clean my lines much or I'd still be drawing. I guess now I should actually read the rest of the story haha

I tried to capture Hawkweed's look of focus and pondering, and (as much as I could due to the angle) Polari's stern and commanding posture. Hawkweed looks a little like he got his books knocked out of his arms though oops.

It's real late and i did start losing steam around the shading phase and you can really tell... I was going to do proper shading but... I kind of really like the soft speckly shading now that I'm looking at it.

I didn't use any anatomical references beyond the character refs so it's a bit rough, but this was also a very ambitious picture for me so I suppose I can forgive myself.

I ALSO used 's eye shine tutorial! Even though eye shine it doesn't make much sense here, since Hawkweed's face is in shadow, but it looks cool and that's all that matters. AND i've been waiting for an excuse to use it!

Once again I don't know anything about Svajone but I do follow the scrungly boi religiously! And Polaris has such a cool design, she's an absolute beast so I'll definitely be learning more about her! You both are such skilled character writers, please consider this gift art for the both of you!
