Out of Tithe, Valiant, and Ironside, Tithe won hands down.

Yay Holly Black! I like how tilted this is, it's making me tilt my head back at it, haha. Telephone poles have an awesome silhouette.

What were you reading? Also that thing reminds me of a old child monster story. The only thing i can remember was that is had a old man and it cut off some little monster thing and it got it tail back after he got the old man.

I really like the way the telephone pole is on a crazy angle, but the figure is just standing straight. Makes it seem even more supernatural some how. Also the poem/text works really well with it.

I read the first one xD It was interesting, just reaaaallly hard to get into, so are the others, they are interesting concepts but the author kinda jumps around too much for me to handle. D:

I can see what you mean. I'd say that Tithe would be the most confusing out of all of them. Reading it more than once really helped, though.

I really like the little bit of white on the face... and also how the perspective of the telephone lines and the little floating 'bits' give the picture so much energy, even when you can imagine that the figure itself is standing absolutely, perfectly still...
What kind of eraser were you using to get eraser-lines that thin on the robe?
(And that's a good book. )

Thanks! I've heard good things about those before - I will have to track one down. I have a Tombo click-eraser that looks to be about the same diameter, but it's not so good at clean erasing...
hah, thanks also for posting your Moleskine pages - they've inspired me to go out and get that sort of sketchbook, myself. I'd never thought about it before, but 5x8" pages are way more conducive to productive doodling than having big scary 9x12" or 11x14" pages of space to fill.
