[Mature Warning for Blood, gore, decapitation and lots of swearing]

  With the cover of battle and clashing of blades and claws, Bubble Lee was able to sneak past undetected and take cover behind a large stalagmite. She waited for another squad of drones to fly past before transforming into a green changeling drone and taking flight. With all everyone’s attention to the commotion outside, Imago was able to infiltrate without an issue, using Mako’s lock of hair as her guide. Stopping at a fork, Imago looked down and saw the flame suddenly flash brightly, burning off another chunk of teal and black hair. Eris is outside, why is Mako still being drained?! Imago didn’t have time to stop of think, she had to get to him now!
    Flying through the tunnels, Imago could see a bright eerie green light coming up to end when the blue aura around the lock of hair suddenly died out, dropping the knotted hair onto the tunnel floor.
Imago: *lands to pick it up* What? Why are you stopping now? Come on, you piece of shit. Work..! ……… !!!
    Looking through the large opening was a vast opening into a giant underground cavern. Imago’s eyes went wide as she flew over the large city. Buildings and streets were carved into the walls of this giant cave, decorated by skulls and bones. Horrifying faces and figure with live like appearance were caved in the sides of the buildings and pillars and illuminated by some sort of crystal that grew in from the stone ceiling and down the walls of the cave. It was hard to believe such a place was hidden just underneath the Princess of Friendship’s front door. The underground city leaded to a large stone and bone archway and into what appeared to be the throne room.
    The walls were decorated with torn and tattered tapestries and skulls of all difference sizes and species that were probably once “prizes” of the vain and cruel queen. In the center of room was a long throne that could likely be used as a bed. Slumped in the throne was Mako, dark bags under his eyes. Imago watched as one of the three drones that were set there to guard him stepped forward and pushed his fellow changeling back.
Drone1: You had your fill, let me get a taste of him, you greedy little bastard… Alright, fishy. Let’s see what all the fuss is about…
    The green grabbed hold of Mako’s shoulder and push his head back before sucking the life and love out of him. At first it didn’t seem to phase him as the pinkish aura was drained from his body until it sputtered and dried out, causing Mako to gasp and wince in pain.
Imago: *eyes wide* N-no..!
    In a fit of panic and rage, Imago’s arms engulfed with flames as she summoned a pair of twin swords and charged forward. Before the drone knew she was even there, a blade stabbed through the soft part of his back, slicing him open.
Drone2: What the-!! *HISSSS* Intruder!
Drone3: Make sure the fish doesn’t go anywhere!
Imago: *pushes the dead drone off her sword* Get your claws off him..! He’s mine! *screeching at the two drones*
Drone3: *summons two saw blades and charges her* Just try and take him!
    The drone slammed and clashed blades with Imago. Swinging to slice for the drones face, Imago’s sword caught on the serrated edge. Quickly she moved to use the other, only to get stopped again by the second blade. Both were momentarily stuck in place before the drone lifted and kicked at Imago’s chest to push her back, freeing them. Skidding back on her hooves, Imago quickly recovered from the hit, pushing off the ground to charge him again. As the two clashed, it didn’t take long before they were once again stuck in place, but this time by only one saw blade. Thinking fast, the drone summoned a sword with his free hand and swung in attempt to hit Imago’s shoulder. Swiveling her sword around, she blocked the blade from narrowly missing her face.
Imago: Tch! That was clever.. But you are still a couple hundred years behind to be at my level, Nymph..! *before blasting the drone in the face with a beam of magic*
Drone3: AAAAH!!! *stumbles back and covers his eyes* Fucking hell! I could use a little help here! …… Hey, I said--!!
    Turning around to address the last drone, they only saw the one guarding Mako was gasping for air, its throat getting crushed under Mako’s jaws. The orca seemed to have woken up, his eyes their normal silver color and loud snarls coming from him as he gave one last squeeze to snap the drone’s neck, making them go limp.
Drone3: *chirp!* Shit, I need to get back-up!
    Before the drone could get up, he turned and saw just as Imago brought her blades down and took the drone’s head clean off. As the body hit the floor, Imago flicked her blades clean and let out a heavy sigh.
Imago: I’m getting too old for this… Mako, you are awake! Good, we have to go! We don’t have much time until more drones will show up..! ……. Mako..?
Mako: I’m not going anywhere with you..! *growls as steps closer to Imago*

    Ignoring Mako’s plea, Daniel lunged and aimed to strike at Mako’s head. Before he came crashing down, Mako curled his body and rolled under Daniel to dodge, the blades sparking against the stone floor.
Mako: Fooking hell..! Eris, let him go! He has nothing to do with this!
Eris: He does now, Hahaha! And all thanks to her.~
Daniel: IMAGO!!! *turns and charges again*
Mako: Fook fook fook fook FOOK!!! *sets Imago down and charges back, crashing into Daniel and grabbing his wrists to stop him*

    Daniel resumed his pursuit to catch Mako, only to stop and drop his blades abruptly. He held onto his head and growled before yelling out in pain, Eris quickly doing the same.
Daniel: Get out…! Get out of my head!!!

Mako: The fuck…? *turns a corner and runs into a room*

On the back wall was a pool of some kind of glowing golden liquid that swirled with some kind of magic. Next to it, on a pedestal was a much larger egg.

    Eris’ attention was quickly drawn to the second Daniel running as fast as he could from the nursery with the widest eyed stare.

    The force of the explosion from the nursery forced Eris to release Mako and pushed Imago/Daniel off. Both tumbled across the floor to the main exit as rocks started rumbling and crashing to the ground.

Mako: Fook fook fook…! *scoops Imago/Daniel up and over his shoulder before running*
Imago/Daniel: *groans in pain from the injuries she got earlier, her one arm almost completely limp* W-what the hell was that..?!
Mako: You blew up the nursery, you little fucker!

    Before he could react, Mako, Daniel and Imago/Daniel were scooped up in what felt like a giant leathery hammock. Judging by the rough scales pressed against them they were in the membrane of Claudis’ wing. Running outside gave Claudis a bit of a scare, instinctively grabbing Mako and the two Daniel’s to get them to safety.
Claudis: Lady, close off the nest!
Lady: I will! Get back to the cave, I’ll take care of the rest!
Daniel: *presses his ear to the membrane* Mother!
Lady: I’ll be fine, just go!
Eris (from inside) : *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!*
Mako: Oh fook, she’s pissed…!
Lady: Get out of here, dammit!
    Claudis quickly turned and started running into the forest, jumping and dodging through the trees to get as far away as possible. The last sound they were able to hear was a loud roar from Lady and the crackling sound of something breaking apart..

    Before the drone could get up, he turned and saw just as Imago brought her blades down and took the drone’s head clean off. As the body hit the floor, Imago flicked her blades clean and let out a heavy sigh.
Imago: I’m getting too old for this… Mako, you are awake! Good, we have to go! We don’t have much time until more drones will show up..! ……. Mako..?
Mako: I’m not going anywhere with you..! *growls as steps closer to Imago*
Imago: *wide eyed* W-what? Oh! The disguise..! *before quickly changing back to her default form* It’s me, Imago! *with a nervous smile*
Mako: I’m not falling for this trick again!!! *lunges for Imago, jaws aimed for her throat*
Imago: *CHIRPS and stumbles back, rolling with Mako’s momentum and kicking him off her* Mako, STOP! Snap out of it! It’s really me, you dumb ass!
Mako: *tumbles a bit but tries to get up, looking exhausted* Prove it!!!
Imago: *gets up on her hooves* Prove it? I… *shakes her head, trying to think* … Uh.. Yesterday was our one year anniversary..
Mako: *snarls louder and starts approaching again*

Mako: …. *stops walking, rubbing his head* …… Imago..? *looks closely*

    The changeling looked down at as a blade pierced through her chest from behind before it was forcibly pulled out of her, causing Imago to scream and fall to the ground… Stepping out the shadows behind her stood Daniel, his sword drawn and covered in green blood..
Daniel: *places his sword back into its sheath* Gross… Uncle, we need to get out of here now.. Bubble’s looking for you..! *grabs Mako’s arm*
Mako: *pulls away* No! *kneels down quickly, putting pressure to the wound* I-Imago?!
Imago: *coughs and whimpers in pain, holding her chest*
Daniel: *ears fold back* Uncle, we need to get going, get away from that thing.! *reaches for him again*
Mako: *swats his hand away* I’m not leaving here without her!
Daniel: *jumps a bit* What’s gotten into you, that’s a changeling..! We need to find Bubble, she could be in danger!
Mako: *opens his mouth to say something, then closes it, turning his attention back to Imago* I’m not leaving her here to die…
Imago: *ears twitch* Hnn.. M-Mako.. You have to g-go… H-hide, hnnng! Fuck…. *her horn sparking and glowing, trying to use healing magic on herself*
Mako: But…!
Daniel: *grabs onto Mako’s shoulder, forcibly turning him to face him* What the hell is wrong with you.?! What’s there to think about.?!
Mako: …… *snorts, scooping Imago up to carry her* I’m not leaving without her, Daniel..!
Daniel: She’s controlling your mind just like Eris did!
Mako: No she’s not!
Daniel: She’s doing it right now! *pointing at Imago’s horn*
Mako: Daniel, she’s hurt! I’m not going to leave her to die!
Daniel: *snarls* Then I can put her out of her misery if you’re going to be difficult about it…!
Mako: *SQUEAK!* Absolutely not! *turning his body to protect Imago*
Imago: *grunts out* G-guys… Boys…… Hrmm… IDIOTS! WILL YOU BOTH SHUT UP?!!!
Mako: Aah! S-sorry!
Daniel: *growls and pulls out a sword*
Imago: W-we don’t have time to argue or fight about this, Daniel! *pants* Hnng.. Eris is coming, we have to leave.. now!
Daniel: *ears twitch to the one exit* …. That way isn’t an option yet..
Mako: I-I know where we can hide..! There’s a room over there, we can wait until we have a clear shot out of here.
Daniel: *looks at Imago and huffs* Fine.. Now let’s hurry up and-- AAAAH!!!
    Green aura wrapped itself around Daniel in the shape of giant claws, pulling him backwards to the exit. Before Mako could call out for him, Daniel was grabbed by the scruff by Eris’ sharp claws. She held him up off the ground as he struggled and kicked, trying to get away. Her axe and chitin was covered in not just green but red blood from her fight outside the hive.
Eris: Leaving so soon?~
Imago: Danny! Let him go!
Eris: Hmhmhm, new friend of yours, Imago?
Daniel: *HISSSS!*
Eris: Oooh, feisty one, isn’t he?
Mako: Don’t you dare hurt him, you filthy cockroach!
Eris: Oh I wouldn’t dream of it. After all, the enemy of my enemy is my friend.~ Seems he hates your guts to the core, Imago….. Or should I call you Bubble instead?~
Daniel: ….. What..?!
Imago: *eyes go wide, snarling* Grrr.. Eris, you bitch..!
Eris: What? I’m only telling him the truth. You don’t want to lie to your friends, do you?~ *grabs Daniel’s face to make him look at Imago* Take a good look at her. Why else would your idiot uncle be cradling her like that?! Little strange, isn’t it?~
Daniel: *looks them both over, pupils turning to slits* …… B-bubble….?
Imago: *ears droop as she stops using the healing magic* … Danny.. Please, you have to listen to me..! I never meant to hurt you, but Eris is trying to manipulate your feelings and get into your head! You can’t let her take control..!
Daniel: *snarls* You lied to me!!! This whole time, y-you… You monster!!!
Eris: *grins* Ouch… Some friend you are, Imago.. *horn glows* Let’s put this aggression to something more practical.~
Daniel: *eyes flash green* AAAGH!!!
Mako: Danny!
Imago: Danny, No!! Let go of him, Eris!! Don’t do this!
Eris: Oh I’ll let him go! *drops Daniel and he lands on his hooves* He didn’t put up much of a fight anyway.~
Daniel: ……….. *looks up, his eyes completely green, no pupils showing* Imago…. *snarls*
Imago: *chirps and grips Mako’s arm* Danny, you are being mind controlled, you are being used as her puppet! You have to snap out of this!!
Daniel: *draws his blades*
Eris: Hmhm, good boy… Now, get rid of that drone. She’s been enough trouble, don’t you agree?
Daniel: *charges for Mako and Imago* You’re mine!!!
Mako: *braces himself, keeping Imago hidden* Daniel, don’t!!
    Ignoring Mako’s plea, Daniel lunged and aimed to strike at Mako’s head. Before he came crashing down, Mako curled his body and rolled under Daniel to dodge, the blades sparking against the stone floor.
Mako: Fooking hell..! Eris, let him go! He has nothing to do with this!
Eris: He does now, Hahaha! And all thanks to her.~
Daniel: IMAGO!!! *turns and charges again*
Mako: Fook fook fook fook FOOK!!! *sets Imago down and charges back, crashing into Daniel and grabbing his wrists to stop him*
Imago: *sits up* Mako!! Hrrm! Eris, you bitch, let him go! Hnnk..! *holding her chest and uses the wall as support to stand*
Eris: Give me one reason why I should! The boy clearly hates you.. Even if I let him go, he’ll just go after you on his own accord.~
Mako: *pushing against Daniel to keep him back* Hnn….! D-danny, don’t listen to her..! You know this is wrong!
Imago: *looks at Mako and grits her teeth before looking back at Eris* Because if you don’t stop him, Daniel will kill Mako and then you’ll be out of a food source and all you’ve sacrificed up to this point will be for nothing! *pants* ..I guarantee, you won’t be able to find a love source like him again..!
    Eris’ grin faltered at this realization. Imago was right.. With Mako dead, where would the power to rebuild what she’s lost come from? Her eyes narrowed, flickering from Imago to Mako.
Eris: …… Hmm…. You make a good point, Imago… *smirks* How about a deal then?~ *horn glows bright as claws gripped Mako and Daniel, pulling the two apart* You can pick which one goes home with you… and which one stays with me.~
Imago: *without hesitation* No deal. You don’t stick with your end of the bargain and you know it. You are nothing but a liar and a cheat and you have no honor. You are a disgrace to be called the ruler of anything..!!
Eris: *gasps* Oooh, ow! I’m stung! Hmhmhm, what would it matter to you anyway? Either way, one of them is staying here! I’m not getting out of this empty handed.~ As much as he is full of hate right now, I’m sure a stallion this young has plenty to offer me.~
Imago: *uses her free hand to summon a sword* You let them both go, or I’ll leave you without any hands..!
Eris: Tch! You think I’m scared of a drone like you?! *drops Daniel* Kill her! Do it now, pet!
Daniel: …………. *doesn’t move*
Mako: *ears perk up* Danny..?!
Eris: *looks down at him* What are you waiting for?! Do as I say!
Daniel: *arms shake* Get…… out…..!
Eris: What..?! *turns around* Listen to me, you little- AAAGH!!!
Imago: *flies up and slices off Eris’s wings at the join* HNnk!! D-don’t turn your back on me, Bitch! I’m not done with you..! *using all her remaining strength to stab her sword into the soft part of Eris’s back*
Eris: *SCREEEEECH* You little rat!! I’ll hang your head on the wall! *swings her arm to whack at Imago, losing concentration and let’s Mako go*
Mako: *falls and hits the floor* Oof! I-Imago, we have to run!
Imago: *buzzes around Eris* Grab Daniel and run! Go! There isn’t time! *clings to the wall like a fly*
Mako: *runs to grab hold of Daniel*
Eris: Oh no you don’t! *horn glows again*
Daniel: *swings his sword and slices Mako’s cheek*
Mako: AAAH!!! *jumps back* Fack! *runs the other way as he gets chased* Imago, this way!
Eris: Don’t let them escape!!!
    Daniel resumed his pursuit to catch Mako, only to stop and drop his blades abruptly. He held onto his head and growled before yelling out in pain, Eris quickly doing the same.
Daniel: Get out…! Get out of my head!!!
Eris: HNNN! W-what’s happening…?!
Daniel: Uncle…. Run!
Mako: The fuck…? *turns a corner and runs into a room*
Imago: *flies in after him and skids into the back of him* Oof! W-where are we..? Is this a dead end?
Mako: Great..! This place is like a maze, I thought it would lead off somewhere…!
    Looking around, it would appear they had stumbled into what appears to be a nursery. Eggs covered the walls and floor, some of the looking only to be days old. On the back wall was a pool of some kind of glowing golden liquid that swirled with some kind of magic. Next to it, on a pedestal was a much larger egg.
Imago: *eyes widen* .. Is that… an Queen Egg? Mako, we need to leave this place..! I do not want to get mixed up with an heir of a hive..!
Mako: Heir? *sees the egg* Oh fooking hell… O-okay, let’s get out of here..!
Imago: Just watch where you step, these are all Eris’s eggs…. Some of them looked fresh… *shudders*........... *stares at the pool of golden goo* …??
Mako: *looks at a large grouping of them* These look pretty new…. Did that, come from me….? *cringes* This is kind of givin’ me the creeps… Imago, let’s go..
Imago: ……. *stumbles a little and sits on the edge of the pool* … is this… Royal Jelly? I’ve.. never seen so much of it… *rubbing some between her fingers and watching it glow and shimmer*
Mako: *ears perk and twitch* Imago, come on….!
Eris: Defiant little shit!!! RAAAAA!!!
    In a bundle of aura, Daniel flew into the room and smacked into Imago, causing both to tumble into the pool of royal jelly. Being completely under, Daniel quickly moved to come up for air, coughing up what had gotten into his mouth. Before Daniel could get up to counter the attack, he felt the floor beneath him shift and then tip him over as Imago breached for air, coughing and hacking.
Imago: Ack! Y-your fat ass almost drowned me!!
Daniel: *breaches once more, completely soaked in jelly* BLEGH!! Don’t even think about bitching to me, you have a lot of explaining to-- HRCK!!
Imago: Look out! *lunges and pushes Daniel down, her small chest pressed against his face*
*SHINK and CRACK* as Eris’s battle axe narrowly missed their head and embedded in the adjacent wall.
Eris: You’ll pay for that, little pet! You--
Mako: Leave him alone!!! *jumps and clings to Eris’ back, biting hard on her shoulder and neck*
Eris: AAAGH! Get off of me!!! *swings and tries to whack at Mako*
Mako: *let’s go and runs out of the nursery* You want me?! Come and get me you prickly, double jointed creep!
Eris: *HISSSSSSS and give chase*
………
Daniel: *gurgles the jelly before pushing Imago off him so he can breathe* MMMM!!! *gaaaaaasp* Are you trying to waterboard me?!!?
Imago: *sits up and watches Eris chase after Mako* …….. *grits her teeth and transform into Daniel’s appearance. She looked down at Daniel* …. I’m sorry… for everything.. *before leaping out of the pool and charging after Eris*
Daniel: *fluffs up* What the bloody hell are you-- HNNG!!! *bends over the edge of the pool* BLEGH!!! Ugh, fuck…. I need more vacation time after this…. *BURP!!! A flame bursting and igniting a puddle of jelly on the floor* ……………… Fook…
Eris: *grabs hold of Mako* Gotcha!
Mako: *SQUEAK!!!*
Eris: Now to take what I earned! *starts feeding off Mako again*
Imago/Daniel: *in the same monotone voice* Let go of my Uncle, you bitch! *flies up and wraps her arms around Eris’s neck, pulling her away*
Eris: GAK!! I’m getting sick of you already!! *slips mandibles out to bite at Mako*
Mako: Aaah- AAAH- EEEEEW!!!!
Imago/Daniel: Oh no you don’t..!! *reaches and grabs hold of one of the mandibles and rips it out of her mouth, the spines stabbing through her glove* Ack.. Fuck.. Not this bullshit again..!
Eris: AAAAAAH!!! Why you-... you… ?!
    Eris’ attention was quickly drawn to the second Daniel running as fast as he could from the nursery with the widest eyed stare.
Daniel: Gotta go, gotta go, gotta go, FUCKING RUN!!!!
Mako: Danny?! *looks at Imago* Danny?!
*KABOOM!*
    The force of the explosion from the nursery forced Eris to release Mako and pushed Imago/Daniel off. Both tumbled across the floor to the main exit as rocks started rumbling and crashing to the ground.
Eris: No…. NO!! My heir!!!
Mako: Fook fook fook…! *scoops Imago/Daniel up and over his shoulder before running*
Imago/Daniel: *groans in pain from the injuries she got earlier, her one arm almost completely limp* W-what the hell was that..?!
Mako: You blew up the nursery, you little fucker!
Imago/Daniel: *squeaks and fluffs up* W-what?! It wasn’t me! The other Daniel did it!
Daniel: It was an accident! And why do you look like me?!
Mako: Fer fook’s sake, I don’t have time for this..! *picks up Daniel and slings him over his shoulder, running for the exit to the hive*
Daniel: Oof! ….. *looks at Imago/Daniel* I am so PISSED AT YOU RIGHT NOW!!!
Imago/Daniel: …. Understandably so, but I promise I can explain..! What was that back there?! You weren’t even trying to resist her!
Daniel: You tell me, you’re the only other love sucking parasite here! *smacks his/her face*
Imago/Daniel: Ow! I’m not a queen tho! I can’t mind control ponies..! And you were going to try and kill me! …. AGAIN! You didn’t even give me a chance to explain..! What the hell?!
Daniel: Don’t try to turn this around, why did you lie to me you son of a bitch!
Mako: Oye! Don’t talk about your mother that way!
Daniel: Oh shove off, you dusty old cod! *knees Mako in the chest*
Mako: OW!!! Ey, I’m the one running for our lives here, wait til we survive!
Imago/Daniel: *reaches over and smacks Daniel* Don’t take it out on him, he’s already been through enough, you heartless asswipe!
Daniel: You wanna see heartless? I can do heartless by wasting you right now!
Mako: Bitch fight it out later ye wee bastards!!!
Imago/Daniel: *huffs and puffs out her cheeks* Hmph! I can’t help it, I’m just naturally more of a little BITCH in this form!
Daniel: Grrrrr! *reaches and pulls his/her hair, giving another SMACK!*
Imago/Daniel: *slaps his hands away* Stop it! Cut it out! Ow!
Daniel: Stop wearing my face you bug-eyed creep!
Mako: I swear to goddess if you both don’t knock it off I’m going to- EEEE!!!
    Before he could react, Mako, Daniel and Imago/Daniel were scooped up in what felt like a giant leathery hammock. Judging by the rough scales pressed against them they were in the membrane of Claudis’ wing. Running outside gave Claudis a bit of a scare, instinctively grabbing Mako and the two Daniel’s to get them to safety.
Claudis: Lady, close off the nest!
Lady: I will! Get back to the cave, I’ll take care of the rest!
Daniel: *presses his ear to the membrane* Mother!
Lady: I’ll be fine, just go!
Eris (from inside) : *SCREEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!*
Mako: Oh fook, she’s pissed…!
Lady: Get out of here, dammit!
    Claudis quickly turned and started running into the forest, jumping and dodging through the trees to get as far away as possible. The last sound they were able to hear was a loud roar from Lady and the crackling sound of something breaking apart..
