Sharp—yet soft

I look above the sky
—the sky of gloom
in search of a light
for my baby to breathe
to give it vision and sight

so it can find its way
and when it’d look above the sky
—so clear and bright
that all it’ll see would be glimmering light
so sharp that even its baby could see
yet soft enough that it wont burn in glee…
