Description
The whispering wind glided against a wolf's fur. It's dark blue fur shone lumiously in the moon. A light blue triangle wrapped around the left eye. One paw had less fur then the other paws and was dark red. The air was lingering with the coming winter season. Sera the shewolf knew this. Her heartbeat raced faster and in a second she was gone. She ran far never speeding or slowing her pace. Her heart paced with every stride. Thoughts of her depressing past began to appear ahead of her.The landscape vanished, only her birthplace was alive and vivid in her. Little demons pranced around the rock den. A low growl rumbled in her stomach. It progressed to the air and the demons disappeared like dust. Sera gave a great sigh, while noticing the bloody ground and cries of her pack. Sera heard growls coming from the den. She sprinted to the den. Her body stopped at the dark entrance, her fear erupted inside. She knew what was to come next, and she was willing to face it. As she stepped the scent of blood grew stronger. Sera stepped back and sneezed. She started to walk again. She looked at the claw marks and the stained blood. As she went farther down the den she could hear the barks of her enemy and ally. As the entrance to the fight began to appear Sera lowered her body.
It was her fault that this next thing happened. She forgot about it for so long, but this time she allowed herself to see. Da'ka the enemy saw Sera and grinned evily. Slowly walking toward her. Jad'ka, Sera's mother, bit Dak'a in the throat. Dak'a's eyes started to glow white, and in a sudden ray of light she cracked Jad'ka's neck. Dak'a's cackled so loud Sera closed her eyes wishing this to all disappear. She waited for the ringing cackle to go away. Soon as it did she opened her eyes to the forest that she was running in. It was all a past nightmare. She kept telling herself that.
She shook her head brandish and ran in a flash. The forest winds whispered into her ear "Remember the Pack." Sera got a pang of hurt in her heart as the words passed her. The thought of her pack brought a raucous memory. She stopped herself from thinking of them, or even to howl. She had a Journey that she would die for inorder to finish it. That she would stop for no one
Sera heard a sharp screech coming from a nearby village. She headed up the hill to see the reason for this cry so late at night. Her head was low to ground and she saw a girl pointing to the village. Sera flickered her eyes to the human camp. It was burning, and strange soldiers with disfigured faces were killing humans. They slaughtered men who tried to save there families. The woman died by the sword, as the children were thrown against walls to there deaths. Some people who were "escaping" the soldiers were soon to meet a dead end. The soldiers cornered them on purpose so as to confuse them into thinking they were doing good.
Sera turned her attention on the girl who was now running with a friend. As they scampered to the forest. A soldier was amazingly silent as his horse galloped behind the two. The soldier turned into a ghost and sliced the girl's friend in half. The poor girl never realized it till the body slapped her thigh. She fainted onto the ground as she glanced down. In an instantance a white wolf appeared above the girl as it protected her. The White wolf glimasped up at Sera and grunted. It was Will a long time friend of hers. He killed a soldier to prove he was the better killer. She just laughed. She slowly walked down the hill grunting in an indelicate way to what happened to the Villlage.
She was racing a crow as she headed down to the forest. It cackled that same laugh Dak'a made. She stopped herself knowing she's lose again to the crow. The crow spoke coldly "The man wakes up with 2 legs and he is fine. Next morning he has 3 legs and faints. The third morning he has 4 legs and fur grows on him. He runs the narrow paths with poor senses with no way out. Only he who his stupid dies of being lost and crazed." The crow flew higher. "What's that suppose to mean Crow?" Sera howled. The crow was only a speck in the sky, he couldn't hear Sera nor anyone else. Her mind repeated the so called riddle that the crow made up.
She was deep in thought only seeing emptiness as she paced herself. Her leg scimmed a fork-like branch that made her blink twice. Her musing stopped as she suddenly realized she was lost. She turned around only to be met by a branch. She turned her body into a clear path. She began to think again only to be stopped by a another bush. It looked so familiar to her that she stared real hard at it. The branch to the side was fork-like, it was the one she hit before. She grasped what the crow meant. It was a maze that she carelessly went into, the crow was trying to tell her not to go in so blindly. Sera shook her head clearing her mind. She sniffed the air for her own. The tall bushes were full of lost animal scents but her's was not the same. It stronger then the others cause she smelt it since the day she was a couple months old it never will leave her. Lowering her nose to the ground she caught her scent. Starting to turn right, left, backward, and straight. She kept her sniffing senses on high alert just in case she lost her trail.
Her nose brought her on a rock high above the bushes. She never remebered going here before, besides it was farther away from where she entered this maze. A little light flashed before her eyes. It shone bright that it appeared to be Sera's Father. But she knew better then to fantisize such rubbish. She leaped back onto the dirt with a heavy heart. RAWWWRR!!! A creature spurted out at her. Sera's eyes widened as she was faced with a Jukdas. A cat that stood up with it's bones sticking out. Claws longer then it's fingers. It's teeth were 3 inches long and it's head was tiger-like. But this was a male the females are smaller.
The Jukdas roared loud that the birds hiding from Sera flew into the dark. The beast stepped closer to Sera. She tensed as she knew she had invaded it's territorty. Without a moments heistantion she leaped into the bushes. The Jukdas growled with disgust. Sera's heart was pounding so loud she almost thought the Jukdas would hear it. It followed her but instead went into the paths. As Sera leaped out of one bush the Jukdas grabbed her back leg. Sera kicked the Jukdas' face and it's grib loosened. She jumped into more bushes. After leaping into so many bushes she turned decided to turn left. An opening appeared before her. As a great reilef hovered over her the Jukdas landed infront of her. It's eyes filled with hatred and maddness. It's skin on it's hands were peeling and oozing blood. It was a living dead being that protected it's land of death mercilessly. The two circled each other waiting for one to flinch toward the other. Sera wasn't going to risk a battle to the death. Soon as she thought this the Jukdas sprung on her side. It pushed her against the ground. It started to bite her side, tearing the fur from her. Sera lifted her head up trying so hard to wound the Jukdas. The beast forced her head down but Sera wouldn't allow this place to be her grave. A passive anger erupted inside her making a powerful strength come to life. The Jukdas was thrown off guard as Sera shook him off. As the Jukdas was regaining it's barings Sera attacked to backbone. The Jukdas pierced the sky with it's cry. It's body went into shock as Sera bit down harder. She glanced over at her side and in a second she did what Dak'a did to her mother. Crack! Sera shook the mangled body vigorously, making sure it was dead. Panting heavily she gorged on the Jukdas. With the taste of blood filling her throat she howled. Her teeth sliced the fresh meat with no difficulty. Her yellow eyes were brightier then before and her satifaction was fulfiled. She got up from eating with shaky legs.
Her legs were sluggish as she finally came upon the exit. Her legs gave out on her, giving her no time to notice she fell. Sera was tired from the night's attack. Her mind crawled into the comfort of a thing called sleep. Sera was not allowed to have those peaceful sleeps that most wolves have. She was faced each night with a nightmare. Her legs raced beneath nothing, only the air. Her landscape was always dark with barren lands. Creatures gruesome, hideous, and unimaginable, roamed the land and Sera would have to hide from each one otherwise she'd fail her Journey. Only a light glowed brightier then the land. It was her last place to go before she was done. It was so close but it was only a dream. Increasingly she lunged out of the nightmare to the sunsetting.
She had slept for most of the day. Sera lifed her head to see her wounds. The Jukdas had riped her fur off from her shoulder. The flesh was removed somewhat. Sera tried to stand but it was to hard. She figured that she'd sleep some more before trying to move. Couple hours passed and the sun finally set. The full moon hung over Sera's blue bloody body.
Her eyes opened wide to meet the moonray's that twinkled before her paws. The tree's shaded some of her. Her front legs lifted her up with a shaky begining. As her back legs stood the rest of herself up, she regained some strength. Her eyes grew weary but her mind kept reminding her of what kept her from going for so long. Up ahead was a hill with a broad pathway. There was something in the air telling Sera the end was near. Bursting with excitment her body convulsed against her. Thump! Pain surged though her shoulder. She forgot about it that her carelessness costed her a moment of agony. But as the pain supsided she sprinted into the forest. The trees around her were dull as for the leaves they all fell to the ground. Covering any dead animal or fresh grass from the starving.
She neared a huge willow tree that blanched more then the forest. It had strange markings, one was a P with weird signs within it's O. Sera raised her head and howled a melody so soft and low that would make a human stop to make sure it wasn't hearing things. A luminous array of yellow surrounded the tree. Sera glanced once never stopping her howling. Progressivelyly the Willow opened up and more rays came but this time things came out of the Willow. Sera kept howling and it grew louder each minute. A sharp bark came from the Willow. Sera seized her howl and looked over at the Willow. It was her twin sister Aoraura. In flashes of glows more of her pack came from the Willow. As the last one lunged out onto the grass, Niktas, her mate, came forward and bowed. "I've missed you Serphire" Sera forgot her full name but it didn't matter. She licked Niktas lips. He smiled, and it warmed Sera's distressed heart.
As she scanned around her she could enamor that was once an abyss. Involuntarily her head rose up as she gasped her last breath. A shrode of blue was on her. She descended into the tree as her family on two sides bowed before her. Her family followed gracefully inside as Sera did. Sera was never to be seen again from then on. The glow surrounding the tree dimmed to the dull color of the Forest. Before that tree closed a hawk recalled seeing a dark purple figure open it up again. It's eyes were blue and yellow and it's teeth glistened with evil. Bloodshed was written all over it's face. The forest was peaceful, but in the maze a new King, no sorry a New Queen was slowly rising. Her father's death was a rebirth to Carnage.
