A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for TF: CYBERTRON Hotshot I scanned myself from the copy of the instructions that came with the toy.Cybertron version of Armada Wheeljack. I dunno, something about this mold was just begging to be repainted as him. Looks way more like an upgraded version of him then one of Arm/Eng Hotshot anyways. Really happy with how this one turned out. Still not sure if he would remain a Decepticon or if he would have joined back up with the Autobots again, (as by the end of Armada, he was pretty much partnered up and buddy-buddy with Hotshot again.) hence the divided background colors.
(Oh, and his cyber-planet key is supposed to be a Cybertronian one. Dunno if that comes across in the colorsβ¦)

That's... Pretty awesome, really. Never would have thought of putting these colors onto this particular mold either. (Crosswise maybe, although I'm hoping Hasbro goes all out and redecoes him as a G1 Smokescreen homage.) Nice to see you posting the good stuff again, too. Might just motivate me to start my pixart stuff up again. *hopes*

why does everyone keep saying that? i can't for the life of me see ANY of wheeljack's traits in either of crosswise's modes. crazy people. the way i know if a repaint would make a good arm wheeljack is, would it make a good g1 sideswipe, heh. And incidentially, this mold makes a great one. will post that soon too. As for the crosswise repaint, i'm hoping for either a jazz or smokescreen deco too. Though downshift would look pretty good in smokescreen's colors too. would look kinda "demolition derby"ish

Probably 'cuz Crosswise is already a black car and there hasn't been a black car in TFs since, well, Armada Wheeljack (althought saying that thing was 'black' is pushing it.) And a Smokesceen from the Cybertron Downshift mold would require a brand new head sculpt. There's no way in heck I'd buy this guy if they kept the same G1 Wheeljack-like head on him.

You mean to tell me you wouldn't buy that badass mold, with a cool racing paintjob, JUST because he still has a wheeljack head? what's wrong with you? (though honestly, i think they need to make tf main line heads interchangable/moldable like the alt ones so hasbro could switch them at will for more chars. i mean, if you stick downshift's head on the hotshot body, perfect wheeljack. Stick hotshot's head on downshift's body and it would make a decent silverstreak/bluestreak/smokescreen. and there's tons more that this would work out for if they'd just do my idea about the heads...)

I would in a heartbeat. First off, i love that mold. i'll buy any repaint they do with it. Unless they did a pink one... Secondly, a repaint hasta be REALLY bad for me to NOT buy it. at least in the basic/deluxe classes. aside from some tfu repaints, the ONLY basic/deluxe repaint i haven't bought purposly has been Eng "Energon Hotshot". and even now, if i saw one on clearance, i'd pick one up now. Now voyager and up, thats an entirely different story. a repaint hasta be really good to make me buy one of those again...

Not Landmine. Needs to be a military vehicle, which Landmine isn't. (Although you can slap army paint on anything these days and it becomes a military vehicle, so

I always pictured him as a retool of Cybertron Crosswise, though, but this pulls off the look beautifully! ... Hm, maybe I'll give that a shot.

Well I suppose you've got a point, but I won't know til I give him a shot... I was looking at Remy's gallery of him the other day and that black and teal just screamed Wheeljack to me... All he would need are some head horns molded on and some yellow, he'd be a deadringer for him.... Well, his Micron Legend colors, anyway. xD

Thanks, and yeah, I agree. Wish alot of chars from Eng and Arm would have been brought back for Cyb. Like Blurr (since they aparently made the cyb blurr a different char), Scavenger (even though Cyb Landmine is some odd mix of Arm Scavenger and Eng Landmine now...), Smokescreen/Hoist, Cyclonus (NOT Snowcat) and Demolishor, as well as Rodimus, just to name some of them. Instead we get...Austrailian Jetfire...ugh...

The only problem with the armada trilogy was that the first episode of Energon was Awsome because it kicked off a good start, instead they could have featured the old characters in new characters.
And as for Gay decepticons Tidal wave, Cyclonus & Demolisher, they should have stayed with the autobots even till the end and begin a slightly odd alliance with the decepticons. and Megs/Galvy should have got new minions for his energon raid.
and Then Cybertron comes along. Again the series has taken a really huge toll on transformers, Accents come along making some of the characters we know and love sound like french or Jamaican people. When the Armada trilogy was made, it should have been a serious trilogy.

Well, most of the problems come from the show being made in japan, and then dubbed into english. IN THEORY, with the cartoon after cybertron (which i believe is suposed to be a sequal/spin off of the movie, much like x-men: evolution was for the x-men movies) going to be a us/canada produced show, with english writing, i think and hope the series will be back to Beast wars quality writing, with G1 quality charm

Landmine still has the name, but he's not Landmine to me with Paul Dobson as his V/A. If he had Ward Perry still, I'd like him a whole lot more... That Joisey accent he's got does nothing for me. D: I'd been really hoping they would've called him Scavenger because of that 'dozer alt but ah well...
As for Cyclonus and Demolisher, when you think about it Crumplezone and Ransack are essentially the "Cye and Demo" of Cybertron... XD It'd be scary to think about what would happen if all four of them got together. o_o;
Smokey would've been great in Cybertron too, but not Hoist. I despised him. Or hell, I'd take Longrack over Hoist anyday. XD
In my personal opinion, they needed Energon Prowl. That guy was cool even if he had no real airtime. XD

I think CZ and Ransack, as well as Thundercracker (And at later points, Chromia) do good comic relief, even better than Cyclonus and Demolishor did. Though no one beats Cyc's destruction lust. X3 Though later on, there's a few silly moments, and CZ and Ransack pulling a "Team Rocket's blasting off agaaaaaiiin!" launch and sparkle thing. XD Poor guys.
And now that I think about it...Cybertron's the first series that DOESN'T have a Prowl. o_o

There's still the somewhat possible hope that they'll repaint and retool Hot Shot to become Prowl; so don't worry about it that much.

Launch and sparkle? XD I REMEMBER THAT! CZ and Ransack did the Team Rocket spoof when Red Alert kicked the snot out of 'em... it was one of the earlier episodes I think... I remember 'cause Red Alert was all "Ill SHOW You extra crispy, BITCHES!" and then... boom. ._.; they go bye bye.
Then Starscream had to kill Red's thunder by using his booby cannons. e_e; No love for the medic.
I've heard about Chromia... that she goes Fangirl on Starscream (and later on, Megatron)... haven't seen any of the japanese episodes so I don't know this for a fact, though... o.O

Nah, she just sucks up to Starscream and Megatron, but when Galvatron shows up...BAM! Fangirl city.
At one point after Crumplezone gets his upgrade, and after they just got badly owned by Prime and Co., they're sitting around in the rubble, and Ransack jumps up "..Damnit! If only I had an upgrade!" and something to that effect. XD

I love when she debuted. X3 Jetfire's doing recon, and sees a gunboat acting very strange. Then she transforms and takes aim. "HAAAAAAAAAIIIII!!!! Do you like MISSLES?!"

It's about the same, Jets was doing recon and talking to Scattorshot when he first sees her... "No, nothing out of the ordinary, although most speedboats on earth don't carry missile launchers..." He swoops down, his shadow eclipsing her, and goes "Ahoy there!" all friendly like.
Then Chromia goes "Hey you big goon! You're blocking my sun!", and starts firing like mad, Jetfire rears up and shouts some random words like "Woah hey, I was just being friendly!"
After that she answers "YOU try getting stuck in an ice cave for 30 years and see how friendly YOU ARE!" Then lays on the missiles again. XD
Jetfire dodges and asks out loud "You mean you're one of those escaped monsters?!"
"Hey?! Who are you calling a monster!?" Missile fire increases, Jetfire continues dodging.
"Wait, I didn't mean it like that, I was just-AGH!" *gets nailed, crashes into the ocean*
Chromia giggles. "See ya later Mr. Buzz-kill!"
Jetfire surfaces in robot mode, sputters. "No doubt about it... she IS a monster!"
... or something to that effect. XD

Well, go to like bittorrent.com, and download their downloader. Install it. Then goto like TV-Nihon and click on the torrent for GF. Give it a bit, and the program should pick it up. It'll put it in its own little folder. And once it's finished downloading, then you can enjoy. :3

I wish they would have just MADE him Scavenger in the first place, and gave him his arm voice. i liked that char way better myself.
As for Cyc and Demolishor, yeah, CZ and ransack seem to have taken their place, but they don't have the charm of the others. They were pretty good in Arm (and demolishor rocked at the beginning of energon) but they just totally went downhill into the "dumbass comic relief" crap that i hate japan for forcing into any and every tf series they touch. I want the crazzy ass insane cyclonus who can still blow the crap out of something, and the stupidly loyal demolishor back. *sigh* And yeah, i liked smokescreen way better then hoist too, and he would have made a good char. We need a clasic g1 ironhide char again. (since all the attempts at a similar char have failed miserably in eng and cyb)
As for prowl, landmine, and a slew of other chars from Eng, i can't say i want them back as they were completely shafted in the character development in that series. I mean, prime, hotshot, ironhide & rodimus were pretty much the only bot chars to get ANY kind or real portrayal in that series. the entire rest of the 10 or so other characters in the cast were bonafied extras unfortunatly. Loved the toys of them, but they just didn't give me enough character there to really "like" them.
