Description
A 'repaint' I did using Instructions for TF: CYBERTRON Thundercracker I scanned myself from the copy of the instructions that came with the toy.Sunstorm. I did this before the LoC Sunstorm figure surfaced. I think the Cyb Thundercracker, despite it’s flaws (lame ass legs and that stupid gun arm) could have made a good all around “seeker” mold that any and all of the seekers color schemes could be slapped on. Needles to say, I tried all the usual seeker schemes, and all of them managed to look decent enough. I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out. I DO think that the Starscream mold makes an even better version though, so I’m really happy with Hasbro’s LoC Sunstorm and hope we get one in the Voyager class. That thing beats my Sunstorm all to hell, heh.

Artwork is © Hasbro, only colored by me (and halfassed at that) in plain ol' MS paint.

I'll agree with Wingus that this looks like an upgrade of the Universe version of the character. A good thing considering all those little problems the Armada Thrust mold has (no hands, missiles on the legs, weird Mini-Con gimmick.) And like you (I imagine) I'm eagerly awaiting the LoC repaint. It might be tiny, and waaay to much glow-in-the-dark yellow, but it's still Sunstorm. And I dought they'll do a repaint of the voyager Starscream as Sunstorm, but this'd be a real good replacement for it.

Well, aside from the slightly modified prime, ALL the loc figures have been actual toys, so i think there's a chance that we could get a voyager sized one. hopefully.

I was going to say that I'd might just pass on such a repaint, but then figured that it would probably adorn a shelf somewhere in my room 1/2 hour after seeing him in a store anyways.
Stupid Hasbro and their sometimes wonderful repaint ideas.

Hey, I gotta hand it to em, so far, Hasbro's been hitting it outta the park with every original mold and new repaint. Well, some of the minicon sets could be a little better, but i won't count them. (besides, they gave me a sweet new mis-adventure team! And an emergency team and seeker saber are on the way) ...Well, except Override GTS. But other then that, all sweetness. (I so want Pirate red alert...) We'll see if they can keep this up as the "repaint frenzy" of the last couple waves comes out. Still pissed that they chose ANOTHER blurr repaint and a bendy prime, and we've YET to get a arm wheeljack repaint...

Crud. I was sure they wouldn't go with a Blurr repaint. Damn. And Bendy Prime?! Who the hell are they gonna make this mold into? Another UM or something?

I'm wondering that myself. maybe a new Rodimus? Motormaster? I dunno. There's not alot of choices really...UM, Scourge/NP, huffer, pipes, staxx, clench, um...some of the micromasters...*shrugs* i just hope it's good...it better be for taking the place of a possible wheeljack remold...

Heh. Funky. Kinda like the evolved version of the Universe one, to me.

yeah, kinda, though i stuck more with the colors of the original e-hobby g1 one, though the tfu one definitly threw in a little influence. i would say at least this one has better arms but...well...
At least he has ONE better arm...
