Description Finally had some time to sit and piece it all up together,i really don't like to make tutorials but as i promised you guys for a long time i finally thought of creating another one!(they take pretty darn long time to make)...i tried to explain everything as thoroughly as possible!...sorry for the grammar and and some missing words,my keyboard is a pain sometimes!

Well,guys...hope it helps!

[Update]: This setting is also achievable on Photoshop, but with different actions!

IMPORTANT CORRECTION: I've made a mistake in the steps that i explained!I mentioned about blurring the strands of hair...but the correct action is to smudge them!...I've made this tutorial in a rush, cause time is tight for me right now!

ahh..don't mention it,it would be a shame to keep such a useful tool all to myself hehe...great to hear it's helpful to you!
Hope to see more art from you once you start using this tool! (and see your progress)

i didnt know about that setting on gimp either. I've been using basic pencil but that one seems a lot softer.

well i found it basically by chance, when i was rummaging through the dynamics!..I've been using that setting for quite a while!
This one is the most easiest way!Β

You use a tablet, right!? (if it's ok to ask)
cause the basic pencil doesn't work with a mouse as efficiently as with a tablet!

Nice!

I do! Not a great one but a tablet none the less

I just find pencil basic to be choppy and almost TO sensitive. I can never get the lines I want!

I own one too,i found the cheapest one and bought it..worked with it Β for a while and then broke my pen accidentally (when it rolled off on the ground from my desk)...still have it,but can't use it...will try to replace the whole pen! -.-
So i just turned to my old way of painting again!

I can only get it to have a fading effect when i use it with the tool path...same goes for the "pressure opacity" dynamic! (this one i use to draw the outlines on the horse!)...it's pretty useful as well though!

Thats likely because your using a mouse. Both settings rely on pen pressure

Yeah...but i tried to use it with my tablet but didn't get any different results! (Maybe I needed to adjust the pen and settings to get the fading result)

Hmmm odd...
Do you have your tablet set up properly in preferences in GIMP?
Also what kind of tablet is it
