Kesta stopped squirming around on the sandy ground in front of Synn and stared at her with eyes wide with excitement. Synn sighed with annoyance and stepped over her friend on the way to the ocean. She stopped partway and looked behind her, a low warning growl escaping from between her lips.
"What have I told you about messing with my tails!"
Kesta stopped swatting at Synn's tails and jumped back up.
"Sorry! Didn't mean to! I'm just so excited is all!"
The two continued walking side by side until reaching the edge of the water. The waves slowly rolled in splashing over their bare feet.
