Yersinia must be touching allies to use healing moves and the drones have no support capabilities, currently only able to shoot Moonblast and Hyperbeam. The anon must also be within 10 metres of the drones for them to make complex tactical decisions, otherwise he can program them to do pre-set, non-combat based actions at long distances, such as deliver something, but the further they are from Yersinia, the more useless and error-proned they become.

He was born and raised in Watnui city by his parents but spent most of his childhood in private tutoring and acceleration programs.

This led Rolan to lash out and test what he could get away with in his teens, drinking, gambling and getting involved with street gangs. After a drunk knife-fight had left Rolan (19) hospitalized, his grandmother stepped forward, demanding Rolan spend his Summers at the family orchard, where she could watch out for him. Rolan agreed only because his parents hated the idea. His father had always looked down on their extended family for staying on the farm. Rolan had often heard stories about how backwards they were, especially with technology.

During his first few weeks there, Rolan resented his grandmother and uncle for babying him and forcing him to behave. No one had ever limited him like that and it was infuriating. Despite the damage, his uncle didn’t send him home, like he’d hoped and instead pulled him into a hug.

Eventually, Rolan grew to realize his extended family worried for him and had started laying down rules because they cared, something his parents hadn’t ever bothered with. After that, Rolan helped on the farm during his holidays, growing citrus fruits and arguing with his grandmother over the idea of implementing technology on the farm. This is where he met his partner Pokemon Ester, an overly sassy temperamental aromatisse.

During Rolan’s (24) first years of vocational training to become a surgeon, he grew bored of his work. Wanting more freedom and responsibility he set up a small illegal clinic, using his parent’s funds and equipment, under the name Dr Vasya Ivanov. Using his aromatisse, it was easy to treat patients anonymously and over the next few years, sponsorships flew in and Rolan’s clinic expanded. He found himself in control of something, he could no longer control, and though he hadn’t intended to, he’d become synonymous in a lot of underground circles, for fast, excellent and question-free treatment.

The work was dangerous but more exciting than anything else he’d done before. He’d have continued this descent for as long as possible if the law force hadn’t caught him.

At 28, Rolan was caught and charged of maintaining an illegal practice. He was devastated to have been caught, and refused to remain rotting in a prison cell. He bargained with the government. In exchange for his freedom, Rolan would willingly undergo the ceremony for an Anon, and if successful, join the Xydia army and serve 2 years.

If the ceremony was a failure (as Rolan hoped), he'd live a cushy, sponsored life with his criminal charges dropped.

Rolan’s a steady, stubborn man who is inflexible in his hatred and distrust of others. Though many of his patients consider Rolan empathetic and caring, it’s all part of the job and Rolan has trouble connecting with others emotionally. Still, Rolan is loyal and once you’ve won his trust, it’s yours. He doesn’t care about someone’s background or history and is more likely to judge someone or their dietary choices.

Unlike Rolan, Yersinia is very open with his intense emotions, often found declaring his undying love, openly sobbing or throwing a tantrum somewhere. However, despite how all-consuming and intense his emotions are, they are often fleeting. He picks up new hobbies and friends easily but often drops them the next day due to boredom. You can be his true love one moment and then nothing the next.

Rolan and Yersinia get along well-enough despite the emotional rollercoaster they put each other on.
