This is by far my favorite of the entries to the contest. Really a great execution. As far as the concept I think the heart seems a little to generic or familiar with another art site. Since I have always been a fan of deviantART I can look past this. I feel like dA is somewhat respected in the art community as a whole . As for the logo, in terms of what I consider to be more "ART" related, I think the paintbrush tip works much better than the pen. I am still on the fence when it comes to the serif like tips that version one had. It felt like those gave the logo a fresh and unique edge, but I also like the smoothness of this logo. This same opinion goes for the typography. I wonder how the logo would look with the paint brush moved lower southwest. I'm guessing you wanted the brush to look even with the rounded part of the "d" and keep the continuation.

I would like this more than the first one if the pen/brush would be removed, but perhaps it wouldn't be as readable then. Have you tried making the two letters stand out more on their own using negative space?

I think the brush works better with the A than the fountain pen though

HNGFHGFFF this logo does so many things right, I love the versatility and the implication that dA is a loving community (lol). I only have a slight problem with the typography on "deviantART" itself, but this is merely preference.
There might be a small issue with recognizing the letters d & A in the logo, but their proposed logo offers just the same

To understand why you haven't submitted anything in the logotypes gallery. you have talent.
More than that, the logotypes brings more money than the vector craziness you are great at.

Es buena la idea de los colores, yo tambien hice algo parecido en el mio ,que ahora lo subo. Pero lo malo es en la repsentacion desaturada o en las miniaturas.

Esos colores son un accesorio de la presentaciΓ³n del logo, un detalle totalmente prescindible. Recuerda que una de las reglas es nada de colores ni medias tonalidades. Solo blanco sobre negro o negro sobre blanco. O como en este caso, en lugar de negro, tomas el color de fondo del site.
