Macs are purpose built with the capabilites to handle graphics, animation and any other form of design you can throw at it.
They are a very stable machine, ive used them for over 10 years now with next to no problems tech wise.
The design of the macs nowadays has changed as designers generally want a 'pretty' looking machine.
You can walk through the door of any designers studio or digital printers and they will be on the Mac platform, not PC.

PC users hate Macs, and vice versa, but I bet half have never even used a Mac.
Most mac users have made the change from PC - Mac, i'd estimate 90% will never use a PC again.

Yes they are expensive, but for what they can do its worth paying the extra bit.
They arent gaming machines, buy an XBOX 360 as well as a mac. They are built for graphics applications.

Sounds a bit like a rant but hope that has helped

yeah, maaaany designers use macs and i have to admit i want one too, because they are just so extremely sexy. But there are way too many things keeping me to make a switch - the already mentioned price (very high) and the fact that there are too many pc-only applications (games, for example) that i need. Although i'm not a big gamer, sometimes i just have the urge heh

Ive actually just changed all my icons from the standard horrible mac ones. can find them in the resources section, the icons are called 'minium'

Errrh.

10.1 = Puma
10.2 = Jaguar
10.3 = Panther
10.4 = Tiger

Check your "About This Mac."

Did they update Jaguar to look like Panther in 10.2.3? Because if you are using 10.2.3, you are not using Panther... O_O

Its just easier to have most my programs there, saves time instead of clicking through windows and looking for the program, can just click the icon straightaway. I use anything upto 5 programs at once, more practical to my way of working, guess its different for everyone. just suits me best, my dock is tiny on screen so it doesnt take that much space up.

hehe fiar enough... yeha i jsut have my main ones there - photoshop, illustrator, itunes, msn etc etc and then otehr rare ones i jsut click the apps in the dock and tehy are all there. hehe but yeah every1 is different

If you'd like a version mate, let me know sizes etc.... If you want colour changing need two colours u'd like as the Gradient on the backdrop. Pantone reference would work
