a quick render i did of a whitespace scene to fit my spherexp desktop.chances are you don't know what spherexp is, and you might not have heard of three dimensional desktop replacement, so i highly recommend at least looking at the screenshots of it here .
to use this, set it as your regular desktop background and then set your background in spherexp to "system."
voila.
the illusion when you use it in spherexp is that your desktop is in the center of a very simple garden in whitespace. i'm using it now, it's pretty calming i think.

it looks weird just as a picture though. when it's wrapped around the inside of a sphere, like in spherexp's desktop, it looks like you're IN the garden instead of seeing 4 weird rows :]
