With his hammer Mjolnir, he can perform a number of feats, including flight, calling down lightning strikes, generating storm conditions, and negating magical barriers. The short-hafted hammer returns to his hand when thrown, regardless of what is in-between him and it. It can only be lifted by other individuals with her permission, or by the rare individual considered to be worthy by their valor. Mjolnir is indestructible and as a magical weapon, is capable of harming gods and otherworldly entities.

Thor Odinson is the mythological Norse God of Thunder. He is the blood-son of Odin, All-Father of the Asgardians and a nature spirit named Jord, who is actually one of the many alternate identities of Gaea, the living personification of the Earth itself. Thousands of years ago, Odin wished for a son whose power would derive from both Asgard and Midgard (as the Earth realm is called by the godly inhabitants of the Nine Realms), and hence he sought to mate with Jord, who gave birth to Thor in a cave in Norway. Months after Thor was born, Odin brought him to Asgard where he was raised by his wife, the goddess Freyja, who acted as Thor's mother from that time onward.
As the crown prince of Asgard, young Thor was feted as a future leader and war commander, and was schooled extensively in the arts of war by Odin and Asgard's greatest warriors. This would result in Thor valuing strength, courage, and loyalty above all else, desiring to be just like his father, who defeated Laufey, the leader of the Frost Giants during the Asgard-Jotunheim War many eons ago and brought peace across all the Nine Realms. His youngest sibling, Loki the God of Trickery, was a close companion through his childhood, although Thor never recognized the envy and resentment in Loki which would eventually metastasize into opposition and obsessive insanity.
When reaching adulthood, Thor would be granted one of the most powerful weapons in the universe to help him become a warrior--Mjolnir, a special hammer forged by the dwarves of Nidavellir in the heart of a dying star that allowed him to control thunder and lightning. Hundreds of legends tell of Thor's battles on Earth and the other realms of the gods, leading the armies of Asgard against the Frost Giants and other threats with Mjolnir in his hand.
However, for all his valor, Thor grown to be impulsive and arrogant. Prideful battles ruined a number of carefully wrought treaties and plunged Asgard into unnecessary wars. Finally, tired of his son's obstinance, Odin banished Thor to Midgard, to be reborn amongst them and live as an ordinary mortal until he proved worth to take back his place in Asgard.
Over a century ago by Earth's reckoning, Thor was exiled from his home. While he retained his memories and had physical traits superior to a regular human, he was stripped of all of his power and strength, and separated from his hammer Mjolnir, which deemed him unworthy to be its holder. Thor would spent many decades wandering the world, taking on new identities as the years passed, vainly searching for a way back to his homeworld and regain his status as a god, but with no success.
During the late 1980s, Thor, now under the guise of a man from Aitkins, Minnesota named Donald Blake, learned of the existence of Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. (Potential Energy Group/Alternate Sources/United States), a government-funded research facility that studied ancient alien artifacts and machinery left behind on Earth by races like the Kree. He went to work at Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. as an astrophysicist, hoping to use the advancing technology to help him return to Asgard. There, he met fellow physicist Jane Foster, who he had developed a romantic relationship with. However, good things didn't last forever as one day, Jane was diagnosed with terminal breast cancer when they were working on a project. On Jane's deathbed, Blake revealed the truth about himself to her--his true identity as the Norse God Thor and his exile to Midgard by his father. After many failed attempts to return home, he hoped to use Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S.'s technology to open a wormhole back to Asgard, but instead his search turned to be fruitless. Instead of a way to just go home, he only found love, which was soon going to be taken from him. Suddenly, as Blake confessed the truth to Jane, and Mjolnir appeared in the room out of nowhere and engulfed the two to a flash of light. Afterwards, Donald Blake and Jane Foster were never seen again.
Fast-forward to the 21st century and the Marvel Age of Heroes has begun with various super-powered beings such as Iron Man and the Fantastic Four appearing all around the world. During this time, people began to report sightings of a man in armor wielding a hammer that allowed to control the weather itself, using his powers to save those in need but always disappearing before anyone can properly thank him. This gets the attention of S.H.I.E.L.D. during the early stages of their Avengers Initiative. They managed to track down Thor and connect his dots of his story with the disappearance of Donald Blake and Jane Foster many years ago. When pressed more about his origins, Thor just states that Jane Foster had gone with him to Asgard when he regained godhood, but doesn't say anything more on the matter nor why he has returned to Earth. After helping several heroes, including Iron Man, the Hulk, and Ant-Man and the Wasp, handle the chaos that was a result of a mass breakout of supervillains from S.H.I.E.L.D.'s maximum detention facilities caused by unknown circumstances, he decides to accept Nick Fury's offer to join the Avengers in order to help the people of Midgard. However, he doesn't know that S.H.I.E.L.D. allowed him to join so they could keep him a closer eye on him.

It didn't take long, but I'm finally finished with Thor--God of Thunder! Similar to his Ultimate counterpart, S.H.I.E.L.D. don't fully believe his story of being an actual Asgardian and his powers being god-like, which is why they're keeping an eye on him. So, in-universe, his backstory is left a mystery until later on when Loki comes into play, but that's a story for another time....
Taking inspiration from Green-Mamba and Oni18064 , Thor's design is heavily based on Ultimate Thor and MCU Thor, with some elements taken from his mainstream comic appearance, like his helmet, as well as his hammer of course. As for his Asgardian armor, it appears to look more "comic-esque" to give it more a quasi sci-fi angle. The runes across his helmet read "thunder" in ancient Germanic because I thought it would look cool and give a Viking aesthetic. He also has Viking tattoos around his eyes whenever he's not wearing his helmet.
I hope you guys like it.
