The diamond colour and shadow were complete afterthoughts that took no time at all to do, just mask + gradient + opacity/fill change...

very cute. i think the balance could be fixed simply by angling the feet from where they are to a farther left and up location. All this will do is make her pose more dynamic and where she touches the ground will be different.
