It's funny how the supporting stuff (like backgrounds and highlights) can really change a picture. I wasn't too happy with my black and white test (see scraps), but yesterday I determined that I had done enough dilly dallying and that I should finish my colouring "to do" projects.
Of the two hours I spent colouring this piece in I spent about 45 minutes on the background alone, building it and re-building it and tinting it to look brighter or darker.
It's crazy sometimes the things I obsess over...

Well you know, the rubber mask set (ghost pirates, miner 49'ers, wolfmen) isn't all that hardcore, they're just trying to keep those darn snoopy kids away from their (gold, real-estate, etc). Ninjas on the other hand are quite serious when it comes to tying meddling ninja kin up.
This may have been training, though it appears everyone went for lunch without teaching her how to escape.
