Description
Another Halloween Monster Mash!? Why not!Conversations with ~marc1986 have reminded me of the animated Aladdin TV series and how great it was. There was an episode from the series where this happened, Mirage tricked Jasmine into using a potion or something and of course it changed her into a snake-woman. Though, come to think of it, it didn't phase Aladdin all that much, but by then I think he'd seen just about everything happen...
I had to use the picture from Wikipedia to get her friggin' hair right (damn she has picky hair).
ENJOY!

I really gotta make a better version of this, snake Jasmine is just so awesome.
She should have kept her handy tail.

That's one thing that I always thought weird about the episode in question, Jasmine kind of wigs out at the beginning but overall it didn't seem to bother her that much (not until close to the end anyway).

Good Job, just wondering did you do any part of this in Photoshop? If so what did you do in Photoshop to get the finished product looking the way it is.

Well, here's how it evolved:
I did a rough sketch in my notebook to start to get the pose.
I scanned it in and used it as a reference for a digital sketch (done in Photoshop with my Wacom tablet)
I made corrections using references.
I used the Pen tool to ink the body and then I started hunting around for colour references (I even made a colour ref sheet).
I proceeded to do the flat colours and then left it for a bit.
Finally, I came home the night I posted it very drunk and angry and decided the best way to blow off steam would be to airbrush the shadows and highlights and so I did.
The end result was some of my better airbrushing from 2007, I see so many errors now... ah well.

well, i've been working on Scooby Doo Characters transforming into various animals and creatures like werewolves and things of that nature in Photoshop, basically if you had any tips for me on how I could go about in doing these things, that would be great.

Hey that's a great idea!
I find the best way to start is find model sheets and try to understand how the colours work with the line art. Often I see people drawing things a little off because when they lack colour they seem too small and understated. Like for instance, Velma's skirt, a lot of people draw it much larger than it actually is if you look at the line art, but when it's coloured properly it seems to take up much more space. Same thing happens with Shaggy's feet. Once you get the characters down pretty well you can start to have fun with them (at least, I think anyway).
Oh yeah, always get lots of references of what you want to transform them into. Not that I've done a lot of TF artwork but it helps if you try to mesh the look of the show with the animal you are trying to use. Best thing would be to find an existing episode with the animal you want to use drawn in there and try to draw it on it's own a few times. Like, if I were going to make a centaur Velma I would try to find an episode with a horse and look at the style the artists went for and try to emulate that just so that both parts seem like they belong together somehow.
I mean there are some things that are less trouble like mermaids are pretty easy to get your head around (and snakes). Other things like cat ears can be easier to handle not too much trouble to work with but I think going a little different like transforming Daphne into an insect or something equally complex would be a real challenge.
Then I think the other thing is how realistic you want to be, but again that's the joy of cartoons they smooth out the details. Now of course if you want to portray something specific you may have to consider how to bring that out a bit more. Like say I wanted to make Daphne into a cat-woman but I wanted the cat part to be a lynx or something I would have to try to figure out what would make that stand out and obvious to the viewer.
Then again, I tend to obsess over stupid things, like if I did a spider TF how many legs should there be and should the arms count as two or not?
Maybe I'm the wrong person to ask haha.

Thank you very much!
I worked on this piece on and off for about two weeks. The pencil rough didn't take too long (maybe an hour?). The first inked version took me about three hours. The first flat colour version took me two hours (I think). The background and shading/highlights were done while I was VERY VERY drunk. I think I spent two maybe three hours on the background and the shading/highlights (collectively).
I'm really surprised at how well it came out at the end. Picking the colours was the hardest part.

Awesome pic there...
The episode title you were looking for is:
"Eye of the Beholder"
Her full form in that episode was sexy...
If only Aladdin knew what she was really capable of as a naga, he wouldn't have wanted to change her back.
1: Her venom could be used for medicine and ointments.
2: Since she's a snake, kissing will be smokin' hot for Aladdin with her tongue being no less than a foot long.
3: If you've seen any documentaries of snakes, we all know they like to swallow their food whole. So, for Aladdin, that means...
Yeah, he'd love every minte of it.
Keep up the good work, I wanna see more...
