I don't know why, but I just now noticed that the hourglasses have names on them... XD OH goodness me... By any chance, is the hourglass to the right (of Danny's) Jack Fenton's? Because if it is, I want you to know that you created a (an intentional? unintentional?) emotional tie in that fact.
To me, the idea that Danny's time would run out before his father's... it's just... So VERY real... I think of parents in real life who have lost their children, and it is such a tragedy, that they would die before their parents... So that Jack, who has already got gray hairs, would end up living longer than his fourteen-year-old son...
Am I making sense? Can you kind of understand what I mean? It's just... That small little detail can carry so much emotional weight...

-nods- I can understand exactly what you mean. It was one of the few things I felt like emphasizing in the T.A. comic was the fact that the accident was a traumatic experience, and would be for an entire family to lose their youngest child. I felt the show itself didn't put enough emphasis on the accident, considering it was a kids show to begin with. But it really needed to hold that emotional weight.
I'm glad to see my message came through in this page despite the few panels and little dialogue. I was trying to point out the fact that Danny's life was coming to a very sudden end, even while his family around him was still long lived.

This is just something I decided to to. There isn't a fanfiction for this, it's actually something I'm writing on my own. So it make take time to get things posted and everything, but I'm liking where it's going so far. :3
