To make time to visit me

How much she'd always love me
I miss my sister, the one
Who would have understood
Why I had to do what I did,
And why I had to leave that place
The sister who also needed an escape
Three states away
I miss the sister,

The girl you used to be
The girl who wouldn't have broken my heart
And added to the guilt I already felt
I miss the girl who could make my icy heart melt
I miss the sister who'd have looked through my eyes
Remembered, and find I didn't tell any lies

I hope it wasn't drugs and the dark path that she had taken, but this poem shows it's power in yearning for someone that doesn't seem to exist anymore.

No it wasn't. She just changed as she grew up, changed a lot because of all the heartbreaks that go with growing up.

People go through things, they need time to work things through. Just let her know you'll be there when she's ready to come back.

True. But there are also a lot of other circumstances around this that made her hate me... I will try to tell her that, and my only hopes are that it doesn't upset her further.
