Okay... before anyone comes at me for the background... yes, it is a photograph that I've painted over... kinda... not well, but that image is my own photo that I took in Glacier National Park in Montana. Don't come at me please!!!!

Now... moving on. I've really been trying to work on drawing backgrounds, but I am really not good at it... and I am working on it, but I've been busy with school and work recently, so it hasn't been an easy time. Soooo this is kind of a middle ground I guess. Painting over the background kinda gave be a better idea of how these sorts of ecosystems look. I would like to work on it more though. It isn't easy my dudes. I really want to draw more with backgrounds, so... yeah.

Anyway this is Larke and Atlas. They became close friends after Larke spending a decent amount of time in the Silverflake territories. Atlas's wing structure and markings are based off of Snowy owls (if it wasn't obvious) and Larke's are Golden Eagles. They're both rather reserved and quiet, but they managed to bond over their similar interests in traveling and nature.
