Story aus Phantoms Sicht

Heute Morgen sind wir endlich angekommen. Der See hier ist riesig, die armen Pferde hier, können gar nicht so weit ausreiten.
Und alles ist nass, beim Gesundheitscheck hab ich mir doch tatsächlich meinen Schweif eingesaut. Ich hoffe Nathans Schuhe sind nicht wasserdicht.
Wir waren alle zusammen beim Gesundheitscheck. Als ich fertig war, hab ich mich auf die Suche nach den anderen gemacht.
"Hei Donerhall!"
"Phantom, du warst heute morgen gar nicht mit beim Erkundungsritt. Ich musste mir einmal einen Überblick verschaffen. Ich hab mir natürlich auch gleich den Springplatz angesehen, ich hoffe ich habe genug trainiert. Vielleicht sollte ich noch einmal vor dem Turnier..."
'Woher hat der Kleine nur diesen Tatendrang, besimmt nicht von seinem Vater? Na, wenn man vom Teufel spricht!'
Anscheinend war mein guter Freund TNT gerade dabei sich durchchecken zu lassen....mehr oder weniger. Der arme Bastian, TNT macht es ihm nicht einfach.
"Hast du etwa nicht gut genug geschlafen, TNT?"
"Doch hab ich, Phantom. Bestens sogar. Aber er hat es einfach nicht anders verdient. Einfach so, weil er eben gerade da ist. Ich meine, seh mich an, seh ich krank aus? Ich brauch keine Untersuchung."
Typisch TNT, er stieg, buckelte und lies Bastian nicht wirklich an ihn heran. Ich lass die Beiden mal alleine.
Jesaja durfte auch noch mit, er schaut noch aufgedrehter aus als Donnerhall. Bevor ich auch irgendetwas sagen konnte hüpfte er zu mir herüber.
"Phantom, Phantom! Hast du dich schon umgesehen. Ist es hier nicht aufregend. Die vielen Pfützen und der große See, schau ihn dir mal an! Und hier gibt es gar keinen Schnee, im Januar, was für eine seltsame Welt!"
"Beruhig dich, Jesaja, sonst hast du für das Rennen keine Kraft mehr!"
Aber ich konnte sagen was ich wollte, der Kleine hat mehr Energie als gut für ihn ist. Ich ließ ihn weiter im Hof herumhüpfen, er hat seinen Spaß hier.
Etwas weiter kam ich zu meinen drei Damen, Eyes, Angel und Broken. Noch kurz die Mähne richtig hinwerfen und den klatschnassen Schweif trocken schütteln.
"Was sehen meine Augen, gleich drei Schönheiten auf einmal."
"Übertreib nicht Onkel Phantom!" meine kleine Nichte, Angel, herzallerliebst. Sie scheint etwas schüchtern. Und das obwohl sie eine solche Schönheit ist, sie braucht sich doch nicht zu verstecken, egal wie viele Pferde hier herumhüpfen.
"Ach Mama, lass ihn doch. Seh dir die tollen Hengste hier an. Der da drüben, was für ein Hengst!" Typisch Teenager, Eyes hat mal wieder nur Hengste im Kopf. Hoffentlich verliebt sie sich nicht in den erstbesten Taugenichts.
"Findest du dich hier zurecht, meine Liebe?"
"Mach dir um mich keine Sorgen. Die frische Luft ist sehr schön, der Boden ist etwas ungewohnt, aber hier ist es toll und ich hab meine kleine Amour mal wieder gesehen." Broken war stark wie immer, was für eine tolle Stute. Es gibt keine bessere als sie, natürlich außer Mei, aber sie ist ja kein richtiges Pferd.
Irgendwer fehlt doch noch. La Volpe war mal wieder am schwersten zu finden, der Hengst kann sich verstecken, das ist unglaublich. Ich wollte schon fast aufgeben, als ich ihn hinter einer Säule im Schatten erspähte. Natürlich konnte ich mir einen Scherz nicht verkneifen. Also habe ich mich leise angeschlichen und....
"WUAHHHHHH!" La Voslpe schreckte hoch und fiel beinahe über seine eigenen Hufe.
"Bist du noch von Sinnen? Ich versuche gerade wichtige Informationen zu bekommen."
"Was den für Informationen?"
"Na über unsere Konkurenz. Siehst du den blonden Zweibeiner da hinten, das ist ein Kelpie, wie Tyron und er ist der Gastgeber und Vater der Zwillinge. Die rothaarige Zweibeinerin dort drüben ist seine Stute. Die blinde Stute mit hellem Haar heißt Beringa, kommt wohl aus Russland. Der braune Hengst, der hier ab und an herumstolziert ist Novalis, der Leithengst."
Ich muss zugeben, La Volpe ist schon ein praktischer Freund. Wir liefen noch eine Zeit lang zusammen herum und er erzählte mir alles was er in Erfahrung gebracht hat. Immerhin kann ich jetzt schon mal meine Konkurenten mit deren Namen ansprechen.
Ein erfolgreicher Tag.

From Phantoms Viewpoint

This morning we have finally arrived. The lake is huge, the horses can't even ride so far. And everything is wet here, at the Vet Check I actually made my tail dirty. I hope Nathan's shoes are not waterproof.
We were all together at the Vet Check. After I was finished, I have searched the others.
"Hi, Donnerhall!"
"Hi Phantom, I didn't see you this morning at the exploration. I had to get an overview. I've also seen the jumping arena, I hope I've trained enough. Maybe I should go back before the tournament, and train one more time...."
Where did this little horse get this dynamism, for sure, not from his father! Well, when we speak of the devil!
Apparently, my good friend TNT get to be checkt by Bastian right now.....more or less. The poor Bastian, TNT doesn't make it easy for him.
"Doesn't you sleep well enough, TNT?"
"Well I slept very well, Phantom. Best even. But he just deserves nothing other. Just because he is just here right now. I mean, look at me, do I look sick? I do not need an investigation!"
Typically TNT, he rose, bucks and Bastian can't check him right. Better I let the two alone.
Jesaja was allowed to come with us, he looks much more turned up as Donnerhall. Before I could say anything he hopped over to me.
"Phantom! Phantom! Have you already looked around? It's so exciting! So many puddles and the great lake, have you seen, it's bigger than your lake! And here is no snow, in January, what a strange world!"
"Calm down, Jesaja, otherwise you have no strength for the race!"
But I could say what I want, this boy has more energy than is good for him. I let him continue to bounce around in the yard, he has fun here.
A little further I came to my three ladies, Eyes, Angel and Broken. I shaked my head to throw my mane until it lies right, and shaked my tail until it is nearly dry.
"What do my eyes see here? Three beauties at once!"
"Do not exaggerate uncle Phantom!" my little niece, Angel, what a nice mare. She seems a little bit shy. She is such a beauty, she does not need to hide, no matter how many horses jumping around here.
"Oh mum, let him. Look at the great stallions here. That one over there, what a stud!" A typical teenager, has only stallions in her head. Hopefully she doesn't fell in love with the first scallywag.
"Do you find you way around here, my love?"
"Do not worry about me. The fresh air is very nice, the floor is a little unusual, but it's great here, and I've seen my little Amour again." Broken was as strong as ever, what a great mare. There is no better than her, except Mei, but she's not a real horse.
Someone is still missing. La Volpe was again the hardest to find, this stallion can hide, this is amazing. I almost wanted to give up when I saw him behind a pillar in the shades. Of course I could not help me, I have to do a joke. So I quietly snuck up and....
"WUAHHHHHH!" La Volpe startled up and nearly fell over his own hooves.
"Are you crazy? I' just trying to get importand information."
"What kind of Information?"
"Information about our competitors. Do you see the blond bipeds back there, that's a Kelpie, same as Tyron, named Mael and he is the host and father of the twins. The redhead legged over there is his mare. The blinde mare with light hair, named Beringa, comes probably from Russia. The bay stallion, who is strutting around here is Novalis, the lead stallion.
I have to admit, La Volpe is a practical friend. We trotted around together for a while and he told me everything he has found out. At least I can now respond to my competitors with their names.
A successful day.
