In my TAFE course I was given the assignment to create a front and back cover for a children's book, a children's book of our own idea

Shortly before the assignment I'd read an article about a game being made that's going to be an autism simulator and that gave me the idea for this

As autistic people see the world differently I chose to give what can be considered adults a more abstract, or alien, minimalistic appearance. However the stretched out thing is actually an alternate version of my original design idea for other people, which were inspired by the head crab zombies from Half-Life

I chose to do this in charcoal to help convey a dark atmosphere with additional darkening done through Photoshop, as the assignment demanded
