No, this is not the style of how I plan to share Pokémon photos from my Scarlet file. Rather, I wanted to provide a brief photo to shine evidence of a redemption moment for myself. With five days to spare, I have finally captured Walking Wake! Suicune's supposed ancestor was certainly no cakewalk; I had failed five prior times to capture the Paradox Pokémon, but I finally got lucky with the sixth attempt. It turns out the solution was Ogerpon with both Horn Leech and Grass-type Ivy Cudgel. (I love that citrus shrub ogre even more now!)

I've still got quite a bit of work to do before catching Gouging Fire (Entei's supposed ancestor) and Raging Bolt (Raikou's supposed ancestor), needing at least 200 Pokémon registered in the Blueberry Pokédex. (I've got so many BBQs to complete...) For now though, I take some time to acknowledge this as a moment of personal redemption. I had missed the first two events, choosing to put off starting a file until last month. With this moment, I make up for my past procrastination, acquiring the event-exclusive third member of the Paradox trio resembling the Legendary Beasts. It may be some time before reaching the other two, but I'm not immediately worried as those aren't as time sensitive. Until then, I'm happy to have Walking Wake.
